its a 1975 Catalog [Direct Connection] with a Duster on it $1.00 price on catalog

Darn it. I found the book but the oldest price sheet I have is 78-79 and the Mullen prepared heads are no longer listed in it. Must have been short lived.

The Mullen - Prepared Head #P4007215 appeared on page 24 in both the 75 and 76 Direct Connection catalogs. The list price as of 6-1-76 was $685.00. In the 1976 Direct Connection catalog the W-2 head was introduced. It was a bare head #P3870812 priced at 199.00. The Mullen Head was no longer available in 1978 but was replaced by the W-2 Head/Race Prepared #P4120034. Just like the Mullen head, it came as an assembly with valves, springs and retainers. This head #P4120034 was in the Direct Connection catalogs thru the early 1980's. List price in 1981 was $592.25 per head.

Just for some perspective in 1978 as an E-4 in the Navy I made less than $800 a month... So that $685 in 1976 wasn't something anyone but the most serious racers would buy

I have a "Hustle Stuff" book, I think it has a Cuda or a Challenger on the cover . I also have the back lit Hustle Stuff advertisement that would have been in the dealership behind the parts counter. Boy, I wish I knew how to upload photos !
