i have had a 30936 pan on back ordered for 6 months there is not one to be found any where that i can find, i have called milidon repeatedly with always the same answer (next month). today i called and finally got the truth the made in usa milidon pan is imported from china and they cut the bottom off and weld there bottom on in california. explains the mystery of how a made in usa pan could be backordered so long

Tell them you'll send them a stock oil pan they can cut the bottom off of and weld theirs on.....wonder what their excuse will be why they can't do it....!

the only made in the USA item is most likely is the paint after it rusts in a shipping container:rofl:
like my maytag washer sticker "made in America from globally sourced parts" wtf

it's funny you should bring maytag up they were made in newton, iowa for over 100 years in 2007 whirlpool bought maytag and closed the plant down and out sourced to china. over three thousand people lost there lively hood including me, it devasted newton ,property values plunged almost all small stores except walmart went out of business. and you are right about the maytag sticker but how many people know there is no maytag today only the name

It appears that China may own some to most of America, or at least the best parts, and possibly all of it's citizens who have a SS number.
So if that's true, then;
your made in China junk is made in your Mother Country, and
you guys are just another province of China, allbeit a distant one, sorta like Alaska, and
where did you think all the money comes from that your president is giving away?
We , rather you guys then us, will have to conform to China Rule, sooner or later. Maybe, just maybe, this what all the covid business is all about.
I mean it all sorta makes sense right? If not today, then perhaps next week.

They have a heavier gauge pan made in the Orient, cheaper, then do their **** to it...

And you pay near 400 for it.

Pan cost 12 bucks
Shipping 2 bucks per pan @100 pans
Sump cost in America 25 bucks
Weld labor cost 50 bucks a pan
The cool sticker 10 bucks
You pay 400
Wrong rive ammaricaaa!

You are close but not quite right.

Learn to weld, purchase your own sheet metal and welder, make your parts that actually fit!!!

Hey, I've had friends & family drive 60 miles to save 50 cents a can on a case of beans, ***** about having spend anything...then whine about everything is chinese ****, & all the good jobs are gone. Same ones are so worried about the trees & the environment, but the first ones to drive an hour & a half to hit the new discount superdupermart, after they killed ten acres to build it. I love 'em, but so over listening to the BS, when it starts I'm out.

funny, considering most of the complaint's about milodon pans are the welds leak...

My Milodon leaked......
But it had an excuse. The pan was the first thing into the dirt when I jumped it over a berm at a rally-cross event. Later the following week, after I fixed the pan, I fabbed up a skidplate/ hindsight is 20/20 they say.
Now I have to figure out how to get the bolts out cuz the heads are kinda messed-up...... oh well, out comes the torch.

Humans are stupid and history classes are useless
we repeat all of our mistakes
Columbus "founded the NEW world" we created " New Tiawan"
Not to offend anyone but Hitler did not want us in his fight he knew of our industrial might...

I wonder how much of our 4+ billion-dollar aircraft carriers are built using "globally sourced parts"???!!!
