Noticed he has not posted here, moparts, or speedtalk in over a year. Hope he is ok.

I asked the same question 6 months ago and haven't heard a thing.

Damn, If we can find out if he has left us we can add him to the Legendary list. Thanks @MOPAROFFICIAL He last posted here Oct 13 2020, Oct 16, 2020 on FBBO. He will be 78 years young. From Los Angeles.

He went legendary on us...

Damn. I hate hearing that. He was a walking encyclopedia of mopar knowledge and was always willing to help out with other's builds. Good guy that I learned a lot from. I'll be thinking of him when I build my toter home 440 motor.

He sometimes had a unique approach, other times people plain weren't respectful to him.
Hope he's still with us, but he either boycotted or passed the finish line.

Didn’t he just post all those mopar camshaft specs last week?

I was thinking about him yesterday while reading an old post of his on Speedtalk .
He worked on a fairly high level with Chrysler and some race teams.

If you wanted all you could get out of your mill, you should have listen to him. I often disagreed with his cam selection on passenger cruisers and mild mills. Way to aggressive!

There have been a few guys over the years like that here. I love that they take the time to help and stay in the game even if just mentally. What would help perk up listeners is if they stated that initially..some of their experiences and what they see as some of the best advancements of today...and didn't just start posting the usual parts book stuff. It's TRUE that people will not listen/pay attention to just anyone, regardless of if they lend identical thought/philosophy. The one guy that used to post head spec info, some was true and some wasn't..that tiny margin of imperfection in production for the sake of wishful thinking.

We butted heads a few times, but I really liked the guy. He loved those Jones Cams and I liked ribbin him about it. lol I hope he's ok, maybe just busy.

He spent a lot of time on Speedtalk and since Jones now owns Speedtalk I wouldnt think he would dis his cams...lol

I once asked him what his online name meant or was a derivitive of . But I never did get a straight answer.

Seems he worked with a piston or cam manufacturer at one point as well .

He worked with Chrysler way back helping with problems in the heavy duty 440 engines in buses and stuff. Also KB pistons to develop the step piston design to get quench with the open chamber heads.

It wouldn't surprise me. His knowledge was extensive.

Help me out and define aggressive? Lobe ramps, duration, etc?

Hopefully he just got tired of people arguing with his info. Too many know it alls on the internet that haven't figured out you will never learn a damn thing if you don't shut up and listen sometimes.

I cannot disagree.....we've all been guilty at one time or another.

Myself included. It is one thing to have an educated opinion or question about something, but those that ask for help admitting they have no idea about something, then start quoting what their brother's wife's uncle told them as fact to refute good advice can get old quick.
