Forgive me my Mopar brothers. I have sinned

I thought those "Kennedy assassination" lincoln's went until '68.

I don't remember what the cutoff year was, but I know they went at least to 64, because we grew up in church with an older couple who had one. Bought it new. I even did some service work on it when I was a late teen/early 20s. Remember it well. It had the MEL 430 engine. It would obliterate both rear tires.

Old Ford trucks are badass!

I love my '87 F350 dually. 6.9idi/T19.

My daily for now, til I find a decent Dart Sport 340.

All the controls are in the same spots as my '67 Charger. Makes life easy.

Lol people REALLY don't like when I cold start it in a parking lot and make a giant smoke cloud with the straight piped IDI

I read once a stat that said including the 6.9s and all "the rest" of the Ford diesels that something over 90% of them all are still in service. That's staggering. .....and the non turbo engines were some of the best, imo. WAY simple and WAY overbuilt for what they were.

Know a few guys that have them with over 400k miles still going strong!
Mine only has 160k, previous owner garaged it and only used it for pulling horse trailers.

Rest of the drivetrain is bulletproof too. T19 four speed and 10.25 rear.

It's gonna last me a looong time.

I know..

It fires up every time, but sometime soon (probably when it hits 200k) I'll do a full service/refresh and do the glow plugs and injection pump.

I would also redo the fuel return lines and caps will save you from a major fuel leak in the future. They sell a kit with all the caps and hose and clamps.
