I have a question concerning the dart sport, is it true that the 360 4 barrel had to versions, one that used the 360 2 barrel cam and the other the 340 cam? Is so, is there a vin for each or a stamped number on the block?

Not sure there were two different versions in the Dart Sport but in 1973 there were three versions of the 360 which probably carried to the 1975 model year, the two barrel with 180hp, one 4-bbl with 200hp and one with 245hp.

K. Thanks

I guess the real answer to the question is that all 1974 360 Dart Sports had the higher horsepower 360 and an "L" code for the engine in the VIN. 3,314 of them were made...

Correct, Dart Sport never had a 2 barrel option. 2 barrel was available on some of the bigger cars and some of the F/M/J bodies. Not sure about the cam sizes in '75-'76 Dart sport 360-4.

I have a ‘74 360 block which based on the VIN is presumably from a Dart Sport. The front ID pad has a “HP” stamp after the 360. Hard to see but it’s there. Not sure if it means 4bbl or not but it makes sense.

Maybe the 360 truck motors had the 2 bbl cam? You wouldn't want the E58 cam in a truck motor. As far as a Dart Sport 360, along with the L in the VIN, it would have an E58 engine code on the fender tag. I had a 74 Cuda 360 that had E58 on the fender tag.

Yeah mines on the fender tag as well.

FYI, Little Red Trucks used E58 motors.
