I just rebuilt the head new intake and carb on my slant six and can’t get it to run right it’s a super six with a 4412s on it. The highest vacum is with the idle mixture screws all the way in. I did not mess with timing or the bottom end

If it's a stock engine, 500 CFM is WAY too big. That's why the mixture isn't right. I would have gone with a 350.

check for intake leak at head might need loosening and re torque

I ran a 500 on a 4 cyl. with some tuning , power valve and installing removable air bleeds which was easy to do. makes the carb totally adjustable. . We end up with very large air bleeds for the idle circuit. If your venturi valves are opened up past square on the transfer ports you will need to drill 1/8 holes in the venturis so you are not into the emulsion ports at idle . Get a Holley book and read it or search the web.

Well duhhhhh. What's THAT behind the valve cover? LOL I bet that little beeotch sucked every bit of that carburetor down.

Does it Suck? Or does it Blow? Either way if you get turned on by G-force, Its a great sexual aid when you let the clutch fly.

If it blows out one end it has to suck in the other. LOL I've always liked the rain pictures. Proves yall drove the wheels off that beeotch. lol

Looks badass! I remember taking one of the 80s Daytona turbos out when we were kids, front wheel drive. Different animal to us. Ended up in a ditch!
I dated a girl back in the 80s that had a turbo Daytona. It would haul ***. She was about as fast.

My son had 2 of them. The super 60 turbo engine shown was in the black GLH It hauled ***. That thing would blow the front tires away at random. The super charged car was a hole shot car. Flat out let the clutch fly and pull gears without leaving off.

The 500 worked we ended up putting a 4bbl Carter competition series on it. More power at max RPM but dead on the bottom. Steve made all the adapters and parts. including the VW beetle proform distributor.

Ok so much wonderful help.
Assuming;
adequate valve lash, good Leakdown numbers, correct fuel-level, a clean carb, correct dwell if points, a proven TDC index, and correct plumbing of all vacuum accessories including the PCV; then
I think you just need to close the throttle and simultaneously increase the Idle-Timing, until you get a smooth idle at 3.5 turns out, (Edit for fat -fingers should be 2.5 turns +/- .5 turn), and 500/550 rpm.
If the IdleTiming gets to be excessive (over 10* IMO), go back to the Top, beginning with increasing the valve lash. I set mine to .013/.023 @ ~65* ambient.
Leave the vacuum gauge in the toolbox.

3.5 turns out on mixture? I've never had one that needs more than about half of that. Yes every engine combo is different, even ones with identical cam carb intake exhaust etc but that seems like way too much open
