anybody know why our dollars' value is so poor compared to the US$?
i don't even look in the "for Sale" posts anymore. Try to buy a $30 part stateside
and it's $75 Canadian by the time you get it...Sheesh!

It’s your liberal leadership in government. And the US is marginally better.

Oh, and legal prostitution.... :D

(That's what I hear....)

(A friend told me...)

That means your goods are cheaper to buy . Should shrink your trade defecit.
That is good !

The US dollar is hard for any currency to compete. It is the world's global reserve currency. Based mostly on trust. And that the US economy is still the "600lb gorilla." Even though technically the EU is a bigger marketplace? They stumble about worse than US if you can believe that.

So what does that all mean? Take a $5 dollar bill. And go into any bar in the world and say you want a beer/drink. 9x out of ten you are getting a drink. No other currency even close to that. US dollars are just more sought.

I used to buy cars out of Canada all the time and bring them back to the states. It was always good to know that I had a 30% discount right off the bat before negotiation! It does suck to be on the other side for sure. I am no longer allowed to go to Canada, so I won't be buying anything up there anymore...

Not likely, Sock Boy will just blow more money on something else stupid.

Dont know who Sock Boy is but the fact still remains that your exports will go up . Which means CCM sells more skates and Bombadier sells more Jets.. which means they need to hire more people.
Canadiens enjoy a pretty a standard of living .

You guys must make a hell of a lot more than in the US. Everytime I come up there I'm amazed at the prices for food, housing, ..........lap dances:rolleyes::). Back in the '70s we would cross over for beer and Canadian ladies and the prices were pretty much the same, for the beer I mean.

i just priced shipping the 10 inch brake kit i have to canada. it weighed 21.5 lbs. 106.10 via the usps. so if he buys it for the 200.00 asking price and 106.10 shipping, that is horrendous. makes no sense to me. i am so sorry.

"Sock boy" is the "pillow guy's" stock trading buddy???

Now the Pillow Guy I know of ...
Proof that meth is REALLY REALLY BAD FOR YOU ! Lol that guy lost his marbles ...amazing that he could run a company .

But I dont get the "trading partner " ?

I figured if the sock boy sells socks and the pillow guy sells pillows they have to be trading in stocks (if not their own stock)?? Just a wild guess??
