Hello, a couple of weeks ago, myself and my son posted an add in regards to needing a crankshaft for a 273 engine. The responses that I got were all very helpful, and appreciated.
A Fella with the user name Charrlie S replied, and said he had a 273 short block with some small parts to go with it. I talked to this fella for almost an hour on the phone, just about cars and racing.
He is about 4 hours away, my wife was in his area, and I bought the parts he had, wife brought them home. I talked to Charrlie a couple more times since then, just about cars and other stuff.
I am planning on going to visit Charrlie in about a month, to meet this fella, and to let him know how much we appreciated the deal he gave us. I have always told my sons, the car work is it’s own community, and someone will always be willing to help ya out. Just wanted people on this site to know how Charrlie S came through for a total stranger, and his son.
