Early A K-frame? You need a rubber/steel isolater mount, for the OEM engine
bracket. Remove the piece of steel rectangular steel between engine bracket
and K member.

The k-frame is in my 71 Demon. It doesn't appear to have ever been out of the car or swapped out.

Ok... to me it looks like the steel engine bracket is in the wrong position, but
I don't know. Any good auto parts store will have an isolater mounts, preferably
a pioneer brand is best, but any will fit the bill.

340 or 360 engine? Looks like someone tried to use a 318 bracket and solid mount.

Correct solid mount, engine has shifted over time. It happens. Lots of shimmed 318 style brackets in use.

The locating lugs don't protrude enough from the mount to actually lock it in place on the bracket or the K frame.

It's a 340. I'm not savvy with the whole motor mount K-frame thing. So the 340 needs a specific bracket for drivers side then?

I noticed someone used a nut as a spacer so I just assumed it's an incorrect bracket

Yes, the 340 and 360 ears on the block are closer together than the 273/318 blocks. The correct bracket will have a narrower span to match. Nothing wrong with spacing like what was done, unless you just don't like the look. I's start by ordering the correct mount (assuming you want a stock rubber one) and go from there. If you're racing and want to continue using a solid mount, leave it the way it is, or go rubber and use a torque strap.

It looks like you have a “B” body right side on the left side it will sorta bolt up just not correctly you need a 340 left side which is indeed unique. Or modify a 318 left. Also looks like the Schumacher stuff is finally available. Good luck

Ok thanks guys. I'm going to use solid mounts on both sides. The pass side is nice and square. It looks like the correct 340 bracket would position the solid mount just forward enough to square it up
