Casper vs Bottle Rocket !

-
Well let's see, capers engine has 705 dyno horsepower, and it has made multiple pulls without blowing up. According to the results posted on the UTG videos, i think bottle rockets I think it's best trap speed was something like 78 mph at 3100 lbs. So its making about 220 crankshaft horsepower according to wallace racing calculators, so the solution is he needs to spray a 500 horse shot, I cannot WAIT to see the results!!!!

I can say with purt near 100% certainty Vixen would make several passes without issue. Course I ain't findin out, cause that ain't why I built her.
I'd dig seeing that Rampant Slant ride out! Especially in the passenger seat! Not saying dragging it either

Keep in mind, that motor isn't being used in the race. In my opinion, if he builds a 325 HP 318 and hits it with a 250 shot, that may be enough to make things really interesting being almost a 1000 lbs lighter. A lot of assumptions, I know, because Tony isn't sharing anything with the new motor except it will be a 318 and it will have a forged 273 crank.

Now this will get a little interesting. Tony is going automatic and a custom TC. With 4.56 gears and enough shot, this could be very interesting in the 1/8. Last time out he cut 1.68 60ft on a 100 shot. A better combo with a 200 shot may cut low 1.5's - high 1.4's.

IF the match race with unity motorsports is a legitimate heads up race (I have my doubts) tony stands pretty much zero chance. That OD box had a 3.09 1st gear, the 727 is 2.45 iirc, so his starting line ratio will be less, although he will have a converter. I would be EXTREMELY surprised if BR is even capable of a full pass without failure. We shall see. Or not, I dunno

If he has, per say, a 5000 stall and 4.56's, I see a violent launch on the NOS. The car only weighs 3100. It is heads up, off the trailer. No practice or trial runs. Unfortunately, I will not be there to see it.

I’d say ut is in a little trouble the Cleveland in Casper makes 700 hp NA, I don’t know if he’s spraying on top of that…

FWIW, BR is getting a a set of early 273/318 floating pin rods, steel crank, & Icon forged pistons. But I still see a high probability of breakage if it does hook up. And, I’m not a fan of keeping the home ported 318 heads on the engine either. But, love it or hate it, it’s still going to be entertaining!

I doubt it. I don't think Tony has a prayer of hooking up a 200 shot off the starting line, but even if he goes 1.59, that's still only a mid 11. If that truck HAS the power claimed, and if it hooks (it should, it's a bracket racer, right?) it should go mid tens.
I really don't think it will be close. Just my guess......

I agree, Casper is a big bite with what Tony's trying to do. I do think the race is set up in Tony's favor. 1/8 mile. One and done off the trailer. BR is 1000 lbs lighter. To me heads up, pro tree means reaction and traction will be huge. I just think it will be fun regardless what happens. I wished it was on Friday when I'm there, but it's Saturday.

You know tony ain't gonna buy a "real" race converter. He will probably install some old GER converter laying out back. Hes all about low buck ya know.

GER .... :D !!! I bought one of those about 30 years ago! Biggest joke, unfortunately it was on me.... :(

Casper will be at NNN, but the race between BR and Casper will take place at a later date. Not at the NNN's. Andy said both of them want time for TnT. Andy wants to up the change to 5k now.

If only someone could have predicted this before now......hummmm
lol... :D In all fairness, it was Andy that changed the date. Tony's video recently said for Andy to name the time and place and he'd show up

Maybe they could just have a team push the cars, this would get done quicker.. at least one of them would get down the track.

It's just a convenient excuse for the KING of big claims and endless excuses. He was never gonna race that 4 door shitbox. But I bet you money, he will be there with a cheap tent trying to sell stickers and tee shirts. "Uncle Phony"

But let's keep to facts (I have no issue with either guy):
  1. Andy's custom headers are the biggest hold up, and he posted the video of the truck wouldn't be ready by NNN date for a 5 grand race
  2. The first time these two were supposed to meet, the 393 in Casper blew a rod through the pan on the journey to the race
  3. Many there will bring their merchandise to sell. Many. I would guess Tony will as well. Just a guess, though.
