Magazine cars. How many on the forum?

Just remembered MCACN coverage in Chrysler Power also.

What wheels are those?
I have no idea, but pictures in the photo album inside the glove box show they've been on the car ever since Day Two or so.

There was some discussion about the wheels in my Intro post, so maybe this will help:

Jim

1981 Car Craft on my new to me Satellite:

Also in this book:

They are Motor Wheel Spyders and they are considered highly desirable

Don't know if this counts but I received honorable mention in the Feb. 2024 issue of Mopar Action, at the Carlisle Show. My 1966 Dart 170 2dr sedan.

My Duster’s never made a magazine cover (and I doubt it ever will) but it did make Hotrod’s coverage of the inaugural Moparty show, back in 2020.

As well as Hemmings Muscle Machines article about MoParty 2022.

But the one I’m the most proud of, isn’t even a magazine… it’s the fact that my car was chosen as Derek Bieri’s favorite at MoParty ‘22 and made it into an episode of Vice Grip Garage! I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face that day!

I remember that article. I know like four of the guys on the cover.

The 66 Coronet belongs to a friend of mine and it's wearing a dash pad I brought to FL from OH, and IIRC the windshield from a 70 Coronet parts car I had for a while.

The 73 340 Challenger with the hood up belongs to another friend.
It's got a few parts sourced from me as well.

That's radio host Mason Dixon looking at the Challenger convertible. He is also the owner.

My "survivor" 70 Challenger was in the March 2020 issue of the Mopar Collectors Guide. A lifelong dream of mine to have a "magazine car" That was a special car I was fortunate to own for a short time.

Got me a centerfold spot in 2014 at Mopars at the strip. I lost one of the nuts on the driver blinker on the drive from San Antonio to Las Vegas. That crooked lamp in that picture always bothers me.

My green Neon was in MA a few years back. I just emailed Cliff Gromer and told him the story and sent some pics, and done!

My 67 Barracuda was in HP Mopar, Jan 1989.

My Lancer Wagon was in Mopar Collector Guide, after it was stolen!

And my Colt was in Mopar Action, Aug 2023

Back in 1990 I sent in a picture and description and they put it in the magazine. But they stated it was black but its GG1 green, '68 color, and still has the same paint job on it today. At the time I had owned car for 10 years. Picture was from a car show me and wife attended before kids like a whole lifetime ago.

I have enjoyed some media documentation of a few of my cars:

The '69 Dart Swinger:
was in Mopar Muscle June 2009
I have the actual magazine feature somewhere, but no access to it now - so the linky will have to suffice.

Also it was in Marc Cranswick's Book: MOPAR Muscle - Barracuda, Dart & Valiant 1960-1980
