1966 Dodge Dart ‘freebie’ Project

Cleaned up the interior a bit, going to finishing pulling the motor and trans tomorrow morning. The odometer says 54k I believe this to be original.

Car was probably bought in the 80s reupholstered and painted for a quick flip.

I’m going to try my hardest to remove the baby blue re paint to bring back the original color.

That’s a factory hole 65-66 engineers were on a heavy trip and thought of adding an extra hole for a manual choke my uncle Jerry worked the line back then he was a drunk but always said the truth except when he said he’ll stop drinking tomorrow
Lol

Jealousy kicking in.. lol nice score!!!
Even if the motor is full of scale, most of it will all machine clean.
Ahah thanks! I have a used 5.2 magnum imma swap in! But That rusty motor it came with was rebuilt and has a purple camshaft in it. It looks like it had no more that 500 miles on it, then the motor got flooded with water.

Maybe the cam wasn't broken yet or maybe it's salvageable, got to get it apart find out and make sure you keep track of everything

That looks very nice, well done. Rattle cans or did you spray it out of a gun?

Finally got the brakes back! She can stop now. Time to put together the magnum engine, oil pan, pick up tube, timing chain cover, grind off those engine bosses. Then Resurface the flywheel, install the new clutch, mate the engine to the transmission and drop it in!

For the new double roller timing chain, probably advance the stock camshaft a bit.

Hughes fuel pump snout adapter is on back order, so going to run a Holley electric fuel pump instead until I swap the camshaft later down the road.
