what i would like to do is have some factory 15/6s converted 17/8s,or something similar.Also,i were to find a factory small bolt 8.75 i could afford,could the factory 14/5s be converted to 15s?maybe 15by 8s?also,if i do find someone who can custom make me some rims,what should the measurements be on a 71 dart,with the 3/4 relocated springs,stock wheel wells?thanks,guy
 
I just picked up 2 15x8 SBP steelies last week. They guy selling them had Specialty Wheel make them. They are 14" SBP centers welded to 15" outers. He advertised them as 15x7's w/ 4.5" backspacing and upon receipt I found them to be 15x8 w/ 5" backspacing...either way they are getting 255/60/15's mounted on them as we speak.

I paid $150 (used) for the two shipped from California - just for reference.
 
to cut and widen a stock wheel is not such a big deal
but to alter the diameter of a wheel would be.
 
There is somebody out there who will take your 14" sbp wheels, cut the centers out, & weld them into 15" wheels. I know I talked to somebody about this but it's been quite a while back. I THINK it was Stockton wheel, but I'm not positive.
 
Mine are nice - i wasnt sure what to expect as far as aesthetics but they look totally OEM, also I was warned that they may not be true/balanced being that they were two wheels grafted together, but my tire guy had no issues balancing them! I was confident in that though since the previous ownder had them on his 69 Dart for 3 years...
 
There's a place in plymouth Michigan called Weldcraft. don't know the web address, but the4y widened a couple of wheels for me a few years ago. turned out really nice. Might save a little on shipping too.
 
i would just check out some of the local machine shops. you would be supprised at what they can do. near me is a little shop, you can take them the wheels you want to use and they will put them together. and can widen them.
a buddy of mine is haveing the stock 17" steel wheels from a 04 ram widened to keep the sleeper look for his truck.

What car are those off of? I thought all the ealry a-bodies came with 13"?

LOL...that patina would fly if I was not a manager at a body shop!! It is going in for paint this fall.

They are off a later Volare...I cannot remember for sure, but I think they are widened 1.5" in the rear and 1" in the front.
