How long are the hoses on your oil filter relocation? I am still into some body work, which feels like I have been goin it for ever. Very nice and a Great color.

Great looking car! Nice job keep up the great work.

Have there been any stumbling blocks for you? I noticed there are a lot more members doing this swap so I figured the more info out there the better!

Lets put it this way. If had to do it all again I would make sure that whatever comes off the donor car goes into the car. It is ahole lot easier that way. I love the fact that it has been a challenge and I have had to learn as I go. My sugestion is to make sure you have everything you need before you start. I also wanted to do a project where the same was going to look and perform good. I am Just that way when I build a car. Just like these two other ones I did.

What oil pan and radiator?
Oil pan used is a mid sump middleton purchased thru Magnum Force Best price out of all. Under $400.00. Radiator is a 28" x 19" Aluminum Radiator. I purchased that one at the Daytona Swap Meet for spring break only $139.00 not bad compared to all the other companies out there.

What computer system did u use? I have a SRT PCM that I wanted to use but dont know where to start

The question is do you want to run all the wiring of the car or do you want to simplify the same. I used the computer to the donor truck and the wiring I broke down to eliminate arround 20 lbs. of wire and installed the same. Now there is a company out there that will sell you a broken down wiring harness but the question is do you want to spend that much money or do you have a choice. At this point you either install all or pay the price. Unfortunately most will have to pay. Once you get the wiring harness inn I beleive all they have is three wires to hook up and start same.
This is what I wound up with.

This is looking good. I like the forethought of using the donor trucks wiring and deleting what you dont need. If you get a chance, check out the fbbo site and got to 1962-1965 , look at the thread "late model hemi into early b bodies". That is what I've been working on for almost 3 years. By the way, I dig the color of your car.

Well guys both the tranny and computer are in and now I have narowed down the wiring to a hole lot less than the mess I had before. This is what it is looking like.

I also got the Fuel preasure regulator inn.

And for a couple of guys that were asking tried to take a close up picture of the paint and this is what my camera could come up with. For some reason it looks better in person, but here you go.
Thanks for asking.

I absolutely love it I wish i could pull something like this off.....great work man flawless

Keep up the good work and dont forget more pics.

Well guys another set back. Today I was in the proscess of setting up the wiring and my buddy started putting liquids in the car and when he put the coolant guess what? Yes somehow I inverted the head gaskets and it is leaking thru one side. This means take heads out and re do everything again. So the weekend will go doing this. Hopefully I will receive the TTI Headers by then and then I can start the beast up.

Oh that aint right, but "life" happens. Good thing ya caught it before you started it. Just to let you know, the header gaskets that come with the TTI's smell like crap for the first few minutes after start up. I was going crazy thinking something was wrong, checking the oil pressure gauge looking for any signs of trouble, but then the smell went away and all was well. Keep us posted on how things go, and dont forget more pics. Also added some pics to my thread on fbbo, check out the a/c lines if you get a chance.

This morning i woke up early and decided to work on the car and get some of the anger :angry4: out. Took motor apart and found that the head gaskets that chrysler sold me turned out to be the wrong ones. They had an extra small hole on the drivers side and it seems that they were not OEM, they were also the same on both side when they shouldnt. I got a new set and these say what side goes on top and if they are left or right. Put them inn and got the baby wrapped up by the end of the day. My son gave me a hand at the end to install the new gas tank that came in so now I am really ready to finish the wiring and crank this baby up. I did turn the motor today with the push button switch installed and it works fine. Had to make sure that the rockers were inn right. I will keep you posted and more pictures to come.

Nice work; I hate wiring so I won't be tackling that kind of swap anytime soon- I love the Nissan you had up and also noticed the Opel GT. A good buddy of mine went to college in Evansville, Indiana and his roommate's dad had something to do w/building Indy cars. Why bring that up? 'Cause he had a GT with a Quad 4 turbocharged motor, 5-speed tranny, an independent rear suspension, and was just done so smooth. Only one I ever saw that was worth lusting after, most turning to dust within a few years. Me? I like A-bodies!

Looking forward to some pics. Did the dealer give you the new gaskets for free, or some discount?

If you guys only knew. With my luck the dealer lost its franchise with chrysler/dodge and now only sells used cars. Now come to find out the sheriffs office just bought their property to put their maintenance department. So either way had to get it elswere. Sucks for me. But got the right ones and now they are back inn.

Damn, that sucks. Keep up the good work and fire that sum b-tch up.

Just here waiting patiently for the TTI Headers to show. They said it should be inn today so lets see what happens. Will keep you posted.

When I ordered thier headers it took about 8 days total, ceramic coated outside, thermal coated inside. The x-pipe system took about 12 days to get, ceramic coated outside, thermal coated inside. but well worth the wait, you wont be disappointed.

I ordered my headers from Dave Weber very nice guy. He Sent TTI all the paperwork the same day and they promised to ship them out the very next day. This was monday the 27th and I should have received the same no later than yesterday. I called Dave and he called them up and at that time he was informed that they forgot to ship and that it would go out yesterday. They wouldnt even compromise to ship 2nd day air even when Dave mentioned that he would go half with them to keep the customer happy. Now that was wrong. So now I must wait till next week to receive them. Sucks :angry2:

I hate to say it, but get used to it. It never ceases to amaze me how incompetent our fellow man can be. Pessimism, anyone? Sure, this guy or that occasionally gets it right. As a percentage, however, we are dealing with morons or worse. Customer service is just about gone wherever you go--nobody gives a **** anymore.

You would think with the economy the way it is we could get better service out here, but No. Some days you don't want to even open the boxes.

I am running at an 80% failure rate on my latest project and it's pissing me off. This ain't rocket science.

Thanks for the chance to rant. Hang in there--you'll get it done. We always do, in spite of the idots, incompetents, and morons who obstruct us.
