Because its $10,500 for a rolling NOM 72 Duster with no engine? I love this car but not for 10500.............

I agree it is not worth $10,500 because it is a roller with no engine and because it also has rust in the driver's side quarter. The OP was asked about the rust in the quarters and asked to show better picts of it and the request was not fufilled. There is no way I would ever pay 10K or more for a car with any amount of rust! It would have to be 100% rust free to be worth $10,500!

I hear you Joe,
Some people prefer to buy a car in original paint and sheet metal, and some people don't care how many panels have been pieced in (most of the time wrong) and how much bondo is in it. As long as they don't see rust. To each his own. The car is what you see... nothing hiding under shiny paint and bondo. 8) any serious buyers that have Pm'd me have gotten alot of pix of the car.

T.J.

I would rather buy a car in original paint and a little rust showing than a car with great paint and the rust filled and painted over.

I still think it is a good asking price.

how about making a deal with my car forsale ... Please look up rrvolare car for sale

Not to hijack this thread in any way but is our Duster as it sits for 24,900.00? Or is it $24,900.00 + the 72? If your Duster is $24,900.00 I'm buying it! I want the orange 72 as well. If I was a little closer to the seller I would have taken his advise and gone to look at the car. I have a feeling that who ever goes to look at it is going to own it. I've seen all the pics and the work it needs in not Major. Godd luck and here's another bump for ya!

Hopefully the work to make this a really nice 340 Duster is trivial.

It is missing the drivetrain or at least the engine, and that's not really trivial.

It does need some level of body paint work and that may/may not be trivial.

It needs some interior work and that DOES look trivial.

Bottom line: this is an overall nice looking car which needs at least $5K in parts and labor to be a good driver level car.

Otherwise, if the work is so trivial to finish the car, ask yourself why the owner has not finished the car, then asked the market price for the car.

(Probably would bring $15-17K - all done, but then again- it will not be a matching numbers car, which will make the car worth a little less when it's time to sell..Some nice # finished 340 cars sold for the same price).

$7 / 8 K seems like a fair price in the condition that the car is currently in.

This is a nice car for someone to do limited work to and drive and have a piece of nostalgia in there garage. If you are looking to flip it as so many people have done in the last 10 years. (which has ruined this hobby) than it probaly is not for you. But if you want a nice car you want to keep for many years. I guarantee it will be worth more in 5 years than it is now,if you didn't do anything to it, other than keep it in your garage. Not everyone is looking to build a trailer queen, You can put a motor in this and just drive it, which I wil be doing, if it is still in my hands by SPRING. No flippers please

Hey dude! You can't say "well said" for something you said! ROFLOL

No flippers!?? lol So I assume you paid $10,500 for the car?? If you are selling it for more than you paid, that makes YOU a flipper! I find it very hard to believe you paid that much!!
