Hello, i am a new member who just joined up and am new to all this. Been watching this site for over a year and found it very interesting and decided to finally join. I have a '70 superbee that i spent 3 years restoring and now just started a new project: a 1972 dodge dart swinger. My first question to the forum is how hard it would be to put in a 383 into the swinger that was a 6 cylinder car? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully when i become more computer savy I will be able to post pics of the Bee and the dart project. thanks all! Gene

Welcome to FABO!

When I take pic from cam the 1st thing I do is "EDIT" pic to 75% original size to let FABO server take it easier. Usually file size somewhere around 750KB.:read2:

Then when writing your post, see the button with the paperclip above?
Hit that, it will pop up a window that has 10 spots to brouse, hit the top 1st button.
Then you will pick the pic from your computer you want to use, highlight it, then hit the "OPEN" button. If you're doing all 10 pics (WE LIKE THAT) do it 9 more times before this next step.
Got all ten broused and file names showing in the little windows? Well hit the download button and wait. If your file sizes are small enough it will accept load in about 2 mins. You will see type that says: Files downloading please wait.......
Then they all pop in and you "preview post" when approved by you, hit the submit button! If they don't and file size too big the window will tell you about it and you can either delete or go back, rework size, and re-load untill ya got all 10!

You'll get it soon enough and there is more than 1 way to skin cat (sorry PITA just an old saying! Do not harm any kitties!!) LOL!!:-D

You can try each suggestion untill you find the one that works for your computer/camera/set up and your ease of use.
GOOD LUCK and Welcome!

Welcome to FABO!

The swap isn't to bad. They make conversion mounts and there are plenty of BB Darts tooling aroung.

Welcome to FABO Gene! I am a SB A-body & a BB B-body guy and there are many people here who have done the conversion (I have not). With that being said, you can use your /6 k-member with the correct BB transition engine mounts (ex. Schumacher, etc.). I think you may be looking for a specific oil pan to clear suspension components. I believe the pan # is 187 (maybe #182). As far as headers go, check the latest chassis versions from TTI or Dougs or you can go fenderwall. There is always the option of exhaust manifolds but I think you might be looking for original BB A-body pieces (unless there are others that will work). Besides this, I am thinking you will need a BB 727, new/modified driveshaft and am 8 3/4 if the car isn't equipped with one. There are other misc. upgrades to consider (ex. cooling, fuel delivery, suspension/spring/torsion bars, braking, etc.) but hopefully, this will be a start for you. Good luck.

Hey everybody thanks for all the welcomes. Right now Im in the collecting, gathering.and planning stage for my dart.I have a good 383hp block that i was thinking rebuilding for it since i have to rebuild or buy another motor any way i figured i would just use the 383. As soon as i get some pics of the dart i will try and post them right now she is rought 2 qrts trunk pan and so on. It is not even close to the shape my bee was in when i started that rebuild a couple of years ago. What do you guys think of panther pink for the darts color? It took a 1/2hour to 1 finger type this so ill chat more later thanks Gene
