Back after a couple of decades

Figured I’d go ahead and make an into thread. Back in the mid 90s I was a young teen and a close friend’s older brother had (and still has) a 67 Dart GT. It was originally a 273 4 barrel 4spd car that he gotten form his dad. I being 13-14 years old not knowing a ton about cars thought it was the...

    360 vs 383

And that's the whole idea... not that anyone is wrong or right. It's really what each person prefers. There are 50 reasons to choose one or the other. Personal preference is what I was really after :)

btw. 64, using a tie down across the torsion bars to lift the front of the trans onto the jack works great... i also readjusted as it went up so if it slipped it couldn't fall..

Got a new Truck (new to me)

Scraped off the old Sun damaged Window Tint on the back and door glass windows. Surprisingly there are nice Factory Tinted Windows underneath the old tint, that came as an option with the Factory Air Conditioning. Happy about that. Later on down the road would like to put a new...

Hi, just seeing if anyone knows him or has done any business with him before. I asked for some references or any kind of info since his FB is extra minimal(potential red flag) so I could verify who I was talking. He has some parts for sale so just trying to take some preventive measures. I...

Stop in for a cup of coffee

I went back and forth on what to use a while ago and just settled on the Type F. TQ is a touch over stock as well as the HP motor. Not super attached to any particular one They sell gallon jugs of Type A down at the farm store... not sure if that's the same as the old-school 60's Type A

Someone needs to start re-casting 340 blocks

i don't know where you are and what machine shop rates are like, but sleeving a 318 out would rapidly approach and likely eclipse the price of a 340 block. probably be damn near the cost of an R block almost by then

i knew a girl from Tijeras once. she liked to steal gold wrist watches and $10 bills out of my wallet. 69 Bucket seat question

Easy way to tell; the seats will automatically move forward if installed correctly and backwards if installed incorrectly. Its all about the spring strech, they strech while being pushed and are relaxed in the forward position.
