My 72 Demon 340 4 speed with factory power steering has them- I had to remove the draglink to make it easier No fuss but like said before I bolted them to the engine and raised it up from the bottom.

I use 1/8 and 3/16 depending on where they go.

And even if he gets the rocker shafts off, he still has to find the correct oil timing before oil will come up through the head.

Holy crap man, take the entire rocker assemblies off. What's the worry? What is it? 5 bolts each and they're on the work bench. Stop trying to cut corners and find out what's wrong. You have all of us here to help guide you if you get stuck. It's a very simple process and they NEED to come off...

Have you tried setting the crank at the positions noted above in post 21? As said by others, some aftermarket cams are drilled differently but MOST are not. Set the crank at 90 degrees BTDC on number 1 compression, run drill for 2 minutes. Passenger side should oil. Rotate crank to 20 degrees...

When you say 2nd and 4th bolt how are you referencing them?

When a lot of things are "way outta wack" on known-to-fit-well headers, I look at two things: The engine placement and are the headers right (meaning wrong headers in box or wrong headers ordered).

Any history of accidents on the car? How do the frame rails look? What engine mounts are you using? Without pics it seems the engine is sitting more to driver side than normal thus reducing clearance.

To "MY" ears, the crossover "seems" to cut the highs in and out. Turned all the way "up" I get more midrange and highs along with the bass and it has more overall volume, if that makes sense. Turned all the way "down" all I get is the deep bass and nothing else. I still ain't figured out WTF...

That hole thru the rocker shaft can be probed all the way to the cam, but I don't recommend it, if you chop the end off with the cam, drama. There's a bend and a restriction at the hd gskt,
