In 1978 they were able to get away without catalytic converters due to the gross vehicle weight rating put it in the category of a work truck. The exemption for the weight rating was adjusted upwards for '79, so they had cats that year. I don't know about air pumps, but less likely on a '79...

Finally, this is my current project. A Swedish rolling block in 8x58 Rimmed that I'm going to make into a proper sporting rifle. The bore is excellent condition. Should be a fun project.

Being a “Truck”, they probably skated around the air pump. I’ve never seen an air pump on a LRE truck before. I wouldn’t go by my testimony.

The lever is about 2" from centre of shaft to where it joins to kickdown rod.

The OP needs to define “fit”. If you have a one piece header it’s probably not a good header. Best fitting headers: Hooker 5303 (can’t buy them any more but it’s still the best all around production head header there is. Hooker 5204 (can’t get these any more either) but this is the best...

Just had a little rainstorm roll through here. We don't get big heavy storms very often just enough to make everything good and wet. Did get the roof on the shop fixed, no more water inside. :thumbsup:

Back in the day the lever would get lost or mixed up or just needed custom lever,mostly just a little bit shorter

soon as seats are in i'm putting on front tires and pulling it out of the garage and mopping! can't wait for that :) been sitting in that spot for 2 years now.. will be the first time it has moved under it's own power in 46 years
