71 duster all signal lights shorted

Man I'm sorry, I simply do not understand. You say "everything works except the radio." That surely is not true or you would not have posted what you did earlier??? Please go up and read post2 and answer those questions What do you mean you are "not getting power OUT of my...

Cost for labor on stroker build?

Damm that's funny. I watch roadkill late at night I DVR them. Can't sleep good to watch. Or play it in back ground while doing something else like a,radio. Can rewind if I hear something good happen

    Basic Distributor Question

Thats exactly what I did. I can change to 15° no problem. Just wondering how the body position of the distributor affects what we read on the block or does it just not matter. .

Stop in for a cup of coffee

I have no idea. I was blamed by a certain poster who’s no longer on this thread. Which is what started the drama between him and I. I had zero idea until after it was done and I logged into nasty grams for it

Stop in for a cup of coffee

Yeah.. 64 is, of course, different... although the pedal looks similar. I'm going to have to drill holes to mount everything. What's the distance between the brake pedal and the transmission hump?

    UTG vs DDG

The haters should call out UTG off the trailer and see how that goes…LOL! I enjoyed the kid just hammering that 4speed. The first two launches I figured he would’ve broking something. Those 83/4” don’t like shock therapy too much with traction. Hindsight probably should’ve stuck with the drag...

Not gonna hurt my feelings at all, pretty thick hide on me. Same here. Hindsight is crystal clear……and usually painful.

    Basic Distributor Question

Sounds like you have the right idea BUT.......... Do you understand about "compression stroke?" You must get no1 on compression. Pull no1 plug, bump engine, with your finger in no1 hole, and feel for compression. Then as it "starts to" compress, look for the marks and bring them up...

    Basic Distributor Question

It was as precise as I know how without comin over there and doin it for you. If you cannot figure it out from that, then I don't know what else I can say. I said you were correct and I added what else to do. I was very precise.

    Basic Distributor Question

Thanks I am not at all concerned about if its 7° or 10°. What I was asking is….how does the distributor body location/orientation affect the initial actual timing or does it just not matter. If the timing marks indicate 7° on the block/balancer does it matter if the distributor is centered or...

    My 422 smallblock build

I was wondering about that in my head, but thought it wouldn't be nice to say out loud. The Indy setup seems expensive until you price out all the parts to build something comparable. I should have bought a set myself, but I nickel and dimed myself instead.

Thanks Tom. You know I am happy! As for the other green, the color does not make it run like a scalded dog! But I'm fairly certain yours will the way it sounds!

    UTG vs DDG

When I made my comment, I didn't mean I wasn't interested in THIS particular subject, rather, I am pretty much uninterested in anything other than my own projects. I have a lot to do on Vixen and Gladys both and I don't take time out to watch a lot of videos at all. I watch the scarce few, like...

See that one looks like it would ride Ok and there is a lip on the ends to keep it locked on. Just not sure about length. I am pretty sure there is a difference between the 8 and 6 cylinder pedals

Timing Timing Timing, try 36 degrees all in at 1500 rpm, see if that don’t make your neck snap.

    My 422 smallblock build

Trust me, with the amount of money I have wasted on this “W2 journey”, I could have bought a complete cnc’d Indy top end ready to bolt on. I crossed the line between crazy and insane long ago. There is no help for me now…….
