Hey I know this is old but my son bough a 66 a100 window van is is doing the disc brakes. What longer studs did you use? and did you change out the master?
So from everything I have read true big brake kits from baer, wilwood, etc designed for E bodies should all bolt directly to our 73 up A body disc brake spindles. Correct?
Or you can get a newer style two bolt master cylinder with adapter from Dr. Diff. These are what I run in all three of my Cudas. He has 1 1/32" and 15/16". And I used the stock pushrod, but you can get an adjustable rod from various places...
Looking at the pics they look like newer (69 ish or newer) 10 inch brakes. Measure the backing plate on the inside, should give you a good starting point. still a good rear end and brake setup.
Actually the calipers are mounted correctly, I have the same situation and all of the research I have done shows the hose at the top for these calipers so that the bleeder is on the 12 o'clock position. I just ordered the volare hoses that are about 2" longer so it should be good. I thought I...
Anybody know where to get the little seal that goes between the rear wheel cylinders and the brake backing plates? The ones that came off where like a foam type of seal. The only ones I have found are from YEARONE and they are like $4 each plus $12 shipping.
