    Intake gasket leak?

Please don't put any rtv anywhere except a pea sized dab where the gaskets meet. Those 1213 S-3s have raised seals around each port, don't mess it up with rtv. The end-gaskets for the China wall are thinner, and fit better than other sets. I've been using them since they came out, - for use with...

    A833 gear interchangeable?

I'd spend some time "search"ing "3:09 AJForms" posts, he's very well experienced in all gears and trans gears combination. He has posted the "best" combos. The main thing is hitting the right ratio cuz the jump from 1st to 2nd is a substantial rpm loss, - with the wrong gearset . . . You may...

    A833 gear interchangeable?

You basically change the output shaft/tail-housing, but all gearsets must stay together, they are different ratios, and a "matched set". The gearset in the flanged trans have the ultra-low, 3:09 first gear. Stump puller.

    Check this break out....

Lotsa folks been injured sticking their arm thru the steering wheel to start engine and the wheel whipping over. IIRC there a safety warning in the Service Manual. The housing moves front to back to center the steering direction, bolts fairly tight, gentle taps . Take care,

    Rear Disc Brakes Hanging Up

It's not uncommon for caliper pistons to bind or seize, particularly if the calipers are aluminum . If the emerg shoes are not the problem, I'd be pulling the calipers and putting kits in them. The rubber seals get hard, and don't pull the piston/s back, - as designed. (Once the pads are out...

Does Master cylinder bore size really make a difference.

Pedal travel between different bores is often mentioned. I've never tried to measure the difference, between many sizes, but it is negligible . Properly adjusted brakes should have firm/hard pedal in about an inchish of travel regardless.

Does Master cylinder bore size really make a difference.

The smaller bore does create more line pressure, and many spirited drivers prefer it for better brake control/modulation. These days the replacement shoes come about 0.030 oversize, and most shops these days don't have the drum turning, shoe matching "arc" grinder, to match the shoe to the drum...

    Stock Market

A couple of interesting "different" stocks, kinda like OKLO, that's doing very well . I got into JOBY and ACHR, these are Electric Vertical Take-off Taxis. They are flying around the Emerates now, just waiting for FAA. The new one Josh recommends is a GPS satellite system to guide all these...

Does Master cylinder bore size really make a difference.

I posted this at the end of a previous thread, - but felt it fills an often asked question . I mess with bore sizes for custom brakes . I recently had the owner of a 67 Barracuda bring the car back, even tho he had had the brakes done previously, he just wasn't happy with the brakes, adding he wasn't really happy with the brakes since purchased, new brakes didn't seem any better. Drive it and Confirmed the brakes weren't...

Is this a recent build or a well used vehicle that developed a vibration. If you haven't done anything to change the pinion angle, I'd start by seeing if the driveshaft u--joints gave grease fittings, lube them up. If the joints don't have grease fittings, take the shaft out. And exersise the...

68 340 Vibrating idle, loss of power

If it revved like hell when the throttle stuck, it is not uncommon to punch a hole in a rocker, or bend a pushrod. You may want to check your rocker arm functions, you mentioned a ticking .

68 340 Vibrating idle, loss of power

Check your spark plug firing order, if you mix up the 2 rear wires on the passenger side, it'll run amazingly well, but shake like hell under acceleration, mix up the back 2 driver's side, it'll backfire like hell just trying to start it. Triple check them .

    Kelsey-Hayes 4 piston brakes question

If the pistons are screwed, and you intend to buy new ones, - I have drilled and tapped a hole in the bottom of the piston, then run a bolt down against the back of the caliper, then continue turning till it "pulls" the piston out . Not done it to Kelsey/Hayes, but other seized calipers .
