    No Valiant Love?

I had this one for a few years. 273/4 spd, bucket seat car. Drove the crap out of it. The bottom 6in of the car was bondo. Sold it but by the time the guy reached the end of my block, I regretted it. Bought my current one 5 months later. Lol

    No Valiant Love?

Love the ‘64 Valiant! I’ve had 3 of them. All hardtops. I have one right now…6 cylinder 4 spd. Next year it gets a 360 mag trans plant

1965 MMP's Barracuda Hemi swap! The Ever Changing Build

Looking good! I like the lower ride height. My car sat a little lower and I drove it like a maniac! :steering: On your shifter....in my Stude, I'm using a gm column with a 727 trans. I had to make a doubled up offset lever on the trans itself, in order for the column detents to match the trans...

1965 MMP's Barracuda Hemi swap! The Ever Changing Build

That looks amazing! I’m glad you’re stuffing a hemi in it. I want to come and look at it once you get it in the car. I just picked up a ‘64 Valiant 2dr HT 4spd car. I’m saving my pennies for a hemi swap into it. I’m doing a hemi swap into my ‘74 Stepside D100 starting next week. These things...

Valiant is no more, Drunk Driver totaled it.

Damn man!!! I’m soo sorry to hear this! I’ve been eye balling your car for about a year so. I wanted to ask if it was for sale but never had any extra funds. That was a sweet little car. I glad you or your family wasn’t hurt! Give them hell!

Another "Will these fit?": 18" Mustang wheels

Love the car! You said .5 offset shackles. Do you have the offset front hanger, as well? Who makes the wheels on your car? I ask because I have a ‘68 Dart myself.

Roadtrip to Roadkill Zip Tie Drags 2020

That you for that pic of my lil bucket. I’m going to blow it up and frame it! This was my 2nd year and I had a blast, again! We met the young guy with the 74 D100 at Irwindale. It had a 2010 5.7 hemi attached to an A833 overdrive trans. It ran great with no issues all way to Tucson and back...

    Oil leak

I’m dealing with almost the same thing. I just changed everything out because the cover was corroded and losing coolant. Got the car running and it’s leaking at the crank seal, now. Very frustrating! My friend suggested to put the cover on loosely, install the balancer and then tighten the...

what clutchfan 65 dart 273ci with air ?

I just went through this. The car (‘64 Valiant 2743/4spd) had a fan clutch on it when I bought it. I changed to an aluminum radiator and the brackets pushed it closer to the engine. I had to use the 2947 clutch to get it to fit. Then the fan was clipping the upper hose. The problem was the upper...

Update on '65 Valiant drivetrain swap

Nice little car. If you can swing it, I would recommend the brake master cylinder from Dr Diff. I just put one in my car today and I’m impressed with it. If you have to change the torsion bars, get the 1.03’s from PST. I have them and they are great. Firms up the ride but not to the point of...

    Early 273 intake problems

Thank you for that info. I forgot to add I upgraded to the Mopar electronic ignition distributor with an orange box. I gave it some thought and ended up with an Edelbrock Performer intake (I’m going to sell the RPM). Hopefully it will be running by the weekend.

    Early 273 intake problems

Makes sense. This engine is only going to in for less then a yr, if everything goes right. I just need it running and driving right now. I drive with my foot on the floor most of time so that should help too :steering:

    Early 273 intake problems

True but I couldn’t find anything else. Plus being a 4spd car should help. I have a Weiand stealth intake on my Stude’s 360. I was thinking about swapping them

    Early 273 intake problems

I ended up with an old performer rpm manifold. I went ahead and bought an Edelbrock AVS2 500cfm with a manual choke. I have everything to put it together but now it’s thanksgiving and it’s suppose to rain for almost 2 weeks :BangHead:

    Early 273 intake problems

Yeah I thought it was odd too. I’ve put a new tank, lines, filter and pump in it. I drove it 1100 miles to the Zip Tie drags with no problems after I installed all that. I’ll have check it Edit: the original carb was shot. Too much play on the butterfly shaft to hold a constant idle. So 2...

    Early 273 intake problems

Sorry I’ve been absent. Work and family stuff. Thank you all the responses so far. This is where I’m at today (with y’alls help)... I feel that the Offy is for a later model and I definitely have 315’s heads (273). I think I’m going to sell the Offy. It’s soo nice, I don’t want to be the one to...

    Early 273 intake problems

They are 5/16 bolts. The wrench is a 1/2. I just went checked the casting #. They are 2465315’s I’ll get pics tomorrow. No locating pins

    Early 273 intake problems

Yes there are a few locally. The intake looks like it sits correctly on the heads. I need to double check it.
