im building a 340 for my 1970 340 duster and i belive it is 10:1 comp. it has light wieght pushrods. I want to make 400hp and putting j heads w/ 2.02 intake. not sure what carb or cam to use. i dont care if my idle is ruff. I have the offenhouser intake.

I have a 72 340 and the head that are on it have casting numbers of 1349 4027593 and I looked up the numbers and it came up with 318 heads?someone must have swaped out the origanl heads why?? and I have a 1973 360 with j heads on them. the car im putting the 340 in is a 1970 duster that is...

hi im new to this forum. i have a 70 340 3speed duster from A.Z. I also have a 68 charger rt 440, 50 chevy pickup , 74 vette, 83 cj7 , 77 cj7, 73 dodge 3/4 camper, 98 dodge ram, and a 01 pt. so im a carholic. the motor is out of my duster now. my 1st love for cars has allways been my duster. 8)
