    Flywheel question

A while back I bought a whole collection of Mopar leftovers that a friend had been hoarding. In this collection I found a marine bellhousing, and the pictured flywheel. 143 tooth, no sign a clutch had ever been bolted up, and 1.3" hole drilled all the way through. Is that common for a 360...

    360 Harmonic balancers

Do 360s use different balancers for auto & manual trans? I found a catalog listing that shows this, but I'm really not sure what the difference would be. Any ideas?

Some pictures of progress on my engine swap. The Torker was never part of the plan, just to mask the lifter valley during painting. Still some hours to go before I'm ready to make some noise...

    360 intake bolt length?

Digging through my bolt bucket, I realized I'm not sure the correct length the intake bolts should be. I assume they'll have a pilot tip and a captured washer.

LS valve springs on Magnum heads?

Looking for ideas for valvesprings on magnum heads. A friend offered me some LS springs and retainers, saying he'd used the same combo before. They're the stock beehive style. I'm hoping to run a cam with .512" lift. Anybody tried this?

    LA vs Magnum crankshaft

Can an LA360 crank be used as a replacement for a Magnum360? I know the balance is different between the two engines. But is the weight/balance difference the crank, rods, pistons, or all of the above?

    1999 Dakota computer question

I'd like to replace the worn out V6 in my Dakota with a 5.9. The one stumbling block is the computer. I can buy a reman unit that's programmed with the correct calibration, it just needs the VIN and milage flashed into it. If I have it programmed with my stock V6 VIN, will that work?

    eBay frustration

Last night I bought a part on a "buy it now". Shipping to Canada was listed at $20, no problem. I double checked, no import/export charges listed. Paypal showed the same, $20. Paid. Done? Today, I get an email from the seller telling me the shipping was $39.98 and I only paid $20. I've...

    Jeep Rant

I just have to rant. I've got an 89 Jeep YJ that I've been working on for a few months. Every time I fix something, I find something worse that the previous owner tried to "repair". Someday, I'd like to meet the hero who "built" this Jeep. Here's the worst part. I've been searching the Jeep...

    I miss you guys...

So, about a month and a half ago, I bought a late 80's Jeep YJ(Wrangler)project, and have been working on it rather than my Duster. Looking for info for it, I searched out some Jeep messageboards, hoping there'd be the same level of technical know-how I'd found here. Not so much. Let's just...

318 intake swap, now no spark

I just did an intake swap on the 318 in my 79 Aspen, now no spark at the coil. (Yes, it did run fine before.) I didn't touch the distributor, and just lifted the coil out of the way. It had been converted from lean burn to the 4 pin module/single ballast before I bought the car. I checked the...

2500km roadtrip in my 70 Duster

I'm headed From Victoria BC to St Albert AB on wednesday for my friend's wedding. My friend and his fiance are both Duster owners too. They've both got red 74's. The wedding is on Saturday. I'm feeling fairly well prepared. I swapped to a 2.94 gearset, I have a full set of working gauges...

    Subframe Connectors, just do it!

We finally got the subframe connectors welded into my Duster on the weekend. I forgot my camera, so I didn't get any "in progress" pics. My recomendation is Do This To Your A-body! I bought a "bolt in" Competition Engineering set. But, for somebody with the fab skills, they wouldn't be too...

    Anybody use EngineQuest cylinder heads?

Anybody use the CH318A heads? Like most guys, one of my magnum heads is cracked and leaking, and the other needs a ton of work. These look like a decent price. Might even be cheaper than rebuilts locally. Any experience with them? Good, bad, ugly?

    Fuel gauge trouble

So how about this. My sending unit reads 11 - 79 ohms when I tested it on the bench. My gauge moves to full when I ground the sending unit wire. I also tested the gauge with the cluster out, and it seems to work. With the cluster and sending unit both installed, the most it will read is 1/2...
