Bonding Fiberglass scoop to a steel hood

okay, step 1) first off you need to take your hood down to bare metal where you are going to put the scoop. I would recommend taking down the whole hood but its up to you. 2), spray an acid, or etching primer down, this is to help adhesion. 3), Now you can go with a few options, Bondo is...

I will do my best. After freightdriver told me about those templates I had to order one. I'm really going for the late 60's early 70's drag car look, and to me the cut out rear is looking to be alot eaiser and maybe better looking. I dont know if I'm going to go with the tub though. I was...

    Aluminum Head Paint?

Thank you. I was just wondering. I'm going for the look of a relitively stock appearing motor. I've desided on a 383 instead of a 440. Well 496 stroker is more like it. 440 sorce has some aluminum heads that I'm really looking hard at. I want people who have no idea what they are looking at to...

    Aluminum Head Paint?

Hello everyone. I was woundering if there was something wrong with painting aluminum heads. It seems that all the crate motors, and engine rebuilds I see all of them do not paint their heads. Does it retain heat? I know that aluminum heads dissipate heat better than Iron heads. Am I looking...

Okay If I was to do a full tub These are the parts that scare the hell out of me. I see that it can be done but this is getting into places I've never gone before. Thanks to Moparisbest for the photos of his build. and I cannot remember who the full tub is. I think it is Dadart.

Would you say it might be easier to go with the full tub as apposed to the mini tub? ( I've read your thread on your dart, and from what I can see you did an awsome job). I had the thought of either mini, or larger tub and cutting it down. I really would like to go straight to the body with the...

Okay guys, I am just going over all of my options here. I was wondering if anyone has trimmed the rear 1/4 of their valiant like the hemi Darts. The more I think of swapping my 1/4's for dusters, the harder I think it's going to be. ( haven't ruled it out though ). I have always wanted a car...

Duster rear quarter patch fit on 68 Valiant?

How bad is your quarter? Is it like mine in pic. Or is it on the bottom. If it's on the bottom and not on the lip, you may be able to get away with it.

You can tell by the body line. The duster / dart sport / demon / 67-69+ valiant, all share the same body lines. If you look at the lower line of these cars, there is an "S", or wave shape that goes through the wheel opening. The dart and scamp do not share this line.

Thanks for the info. I plan on mini tubbing, but a little different. I plan on cutting the tub in half and moving the inner tub in 2 inches or so. But for the outer tub I plan on going straight to the body. Hopfuly if I do it right the outer wheel opening will end up being just sheet metal, and...

Okay kids I think I may have found an answer. But I need to know if anyone has used these guys before. Is Rear quarter "A" the same as "B". Stupid cartoon makes it look like a dart or scamp opening. Darts and scamps are great. I'm mad at the drawing. http://www.autobodyspecialt.com/
