    Hello from Brasil

The national language of that country is Portugese, and that is the correct spelling in their native tongue. Brazil is the English version.

    the redheaded step-children (all AMC)

Sad news on the Lawrenceville show- it was not held this year, and there are no official plans to revive it. Let's hope this changes, because, like ramenth said, this is like carlisle for AMC guys.

    the redheaded step-children (all AMC)

This is to cudaspaz- the Javelin you are looking at is missing most of the clues to whether it is a 68 or 69. But the grille is a 68, and the hooded dash cluster is a late production 69. Since the crashpad is harder to change than the grille, I'm gonna guess late 69 model.

    Anyone own an AMC?

If anyone has followed my posts, you know that I am a third generation AMC guy; but my last AMC project has just gone on to be a group project for a mens church group- maybe we'll get some new car guys out of the deal!

    Back to work- Finally!

As you may have noticed by ramenth's post, the Javelin is going to be a group project for a men's church group; I get to play "Yoda" to a new group of car guys under ramenth's able leadership. The Hemi gasser project is not dead- far from it. More info later. Thanks, guys for all the cheers!

    Back to work- Finally!

Hey guys- good news! After 97 weeks unemployed (93 of it thankfully with unemployment insurance benefits), I am finally back to work. And even better, it's out of the dealership stuff and into full time Christian service! I am part of the administration and staff of Freedom Village Ministries in...

    First Car?

My first car (Aug 1974) was a 1957 Olds 88 2dr hdtp- never made it to road ready, but I still have whats left of it today (long story...); but my first driver was a 1968 Plymouth Fury III 2dr hdtp (not a sports roof) in 1978 w/178,000mi on a 318/904 and a class III hitch- the previous owner used...

Sigh, some spoiled kids today. rant

jkeck55- interestingly, in NY when someone asks for a used car recomendation, I tell them to shy away from 96-99 models because of the online hookup to the state for inspection- a check engine light can ruin your day and your bank account...

    credit history & employment

Consider this- 2 applicants- 1 has been poor all their life; money has always been a struggle; they have done what they could with what they have, but those 'food or rent' decisions have always been there-- the other has done well; has the big house, 3 cars, all the trappings- on credit- and is...

    3.55 or 3.91

3.55s will still give you good dig on the street, while keepin' the revs down at highway speeds; 3.91s will give you better 60ft.'s on the strip- which one means more to you?

    Name This Car (Not Mopar)

Guys! Fun conversation, but focus! Dugster- use your search engine to look up pictures of the 1954 Pontiac; this is a surprisingly accurate model for a Japanese tin toy! Cool...

Not A-Body: PT Cruiser Suspension Noise

All good ideas, and all accurate scenarios; but, from my experience in the shop, the control arm bushings are the most likely culprits- and you won't be able to move them with a bar, but they should look visibly 'squished out'...

Mike- like Robert, I've been reading your thread, but held back because the circumstance was being handled spot on. I am blessed that I have no personal experiences to add to what's been said. But please, Mike, don't think for one minute those of us who have been silent are any less there for...

    New job at Mopar dealer

Almost 25 years in parts and service; about half of that in dealerships, and most of that Mopar. I hope that the fact you don't like waiting on customers doesn't trip you up. Just chill and remember, most of them will be in awe of your awesome Mopar knowledge!

This is for the Guys on here Young and Old.

Heavenly Father, we here lift our brother up to you in this time of need. We pray in Jesus' name, that whatever is attacking him, you will just lay your hand upon him and heal him in your mercy. Your will be done, Father. Bless his family, and hold them close; give them your strength to stand by...
