    Why a Reverse Valve Body?

Ok just got off the phone with Rick from A&A. Guitar Jones is 100% correct in 99% of applications. In my application, where we drag race on ice the trans will spin up so fast in 2nd gear and rattle the sprag so hard it could fail which Rick has had experience with in mud drag racers and...

    Why a Reverse Valve Body?

Thanks, one of these days I'd like to clean up the wiring and get rid of the stock underdash wiring and just run the required wires that I need. The car is still street legal, if you were wondering why I still had the wiring in.

    Why a Reverse Valve Body?

I was told to never start out in 2nd gear. I can't remember why, but I do remember the trans has to start turning before it hits 2nd otherwise there could be catastrophic failure. Maybe it's the rule for just my VB but I was told to start in 1 then shift to 2nd then come out of the burnout...

You are correct they must be 4:30. I couldn't remember if they were 4.56 or 4.30. I just counted turns and it wasn't quite 4.5 turns so I just went with 4.33. The only number on the gear that can be visibly read is 7313. I'll add some pics too.

What I've done in the last week.....

Well here are some pics with what I started with. I know the car is not quite up to snuff with NHRA specs... I've never really done any sheet metal fabrication besides small patch panels on body work. Needless to say my BA would be pissed if he found out I was knocking tin in my free time...

    A833 inside swap

Anybody using the R5/P7 for racing?

A few things here... These engines are 12:1 not 9.5:1 At 9.5:1 you will not make 840 IMO.. Also these heads do not work OOTB.They need extensive work to even make them usable. And to make them flow 410 they need a full CNC port job, not just SOME work. I hope you got all your accessories...
