Spline on pinion rules out 742. Believe 489 is 29 spline? No idea on 8 1/4 or Dana 60. Spline count on pinion may help! Good luck!

U could plug water ports put hoses on and pressurize it to 16pds with air. See if it leaks down. Spray plugs with soapy water if bubbles it’s leaking at plug. I’d probably go with when u washed it that is the cause as well.

I had a 360 truck block and had to open pushrods holes up. Had to clean up valley some as well. Had an r on back of block.

I had same problem. Took a male speaker terminal and cut to fit. Worked pretty good as a spring.

Anybody try the coated jegs patriot headers? Thinking about purchasing. I'm interested in the small block ones, and it says they dont fit air pump motors but my stroker has plugged air pump heads. Any info is welcomed.
