    2014 Carlisle Chrysler Nationals July 10th - 13th

My mad mopar family (me, my brother, my brother-in-law and my Dad who is 82!) are travelling 18000 miles to attend our first Carlisle. It's been our our collective bucket lists. Can't bring our cars but who knows what we might find in the car corral;-)

    Blower Motor doesn't shut off.

On my car, there is no "off" position for the fan switch as the AC needs the blower to come on when any of the settings (other than off) are engaged. If there is no off position you could simply put an on/off switch between the power source and the blower switch. Cheers Steve

A 1965 Barracuda Reborn down under

Thanks guys, Here are a couple more shots, my daughter helping me dynamat the interior while the car was still in the paint booth, the car fresh out of the paint booth and my head fresh out of hospital showing the damage you can do to your head on the teeth that hold the weatherstripping to the...

Chryslers at the Caribbean (Melbourne, Australia)

I hope no one minds if I post this link to a Picassa page that has photos of the Chrysler Restorers Club show held recently. A lot of very nice local Mopars to look at. https://picasaweb.google.com/CRCAVic/Caribbean2013Cars# Cheers

A 1965 Barracuda Reborn down under

Hi, Just thought I would share some pics of my 99.999% completed "resto". My car is an LA born and bred, black plated 65 Barracuda that came with a 2 barrel 273, auto trans, power steering and AC as well as the radio pack and external mirror. I found it on Craigslist and had it inspected...

64-66 Barracuda rear glass installation questions

Just did mine about a month ago. Here is what we did. We cleaned both channels on the gasket with a spirit based cleaner. Then we used a sealer that does not set hard to seat the rubber gasket onto the "fence", making sure the headliner was in place. Lowered the glass trailing edge first into...

AC Heater Switch help needed with swap

Exactly. But I was rather hoping to find some Mopar Magic when I popped the back off the old switch. Or at least some electrical trickery... The good news is I saved over $250 by getting the newer switch and not the NOS parts off Ebay, so the drinks are on me if you ever make it Downunder...

AC Heater Switch help needed with swap

Ok. Seeing as my old switch was beyond salvation, and armed with a multimeter and the above schematics, I have found that the two terminals that can be traced back to a source of power are simple on/off switches and separate from each other. On the 1965 switch, the power comes into circuit 1...

AC Heater Switch help needed with swap

Hi. Really need some help here. My 65 Barracuda has factory AC and I need to replace the control switch. I gave up trying to find a 67 and down switch and took a punt on buying a 68 and up switch. I knew the wiring terminals were different but I figured that same number of terminals, same...

    Chrysler Museum Closing

I'm having Deja Vu here, Mitsubishi took over Chrysler in Australia with all sorts of promises. Once they had their slimy mitts on the property, no more new Valiants (as promised) and all the history of Chrysler was chucked out. I hope Fiat has a better sense of marketing than Mitsushitbox...

    Plymouth UTE 1964-65

Hi Rick, True, utes don't come up too often in Oz either. They were the rugged work horse of many a farmer and when they finally expired they were usually left to rust in the back paddock. I've rescued 2 over the years but they are now getting thinner on the ground. Here are a couple on eBay...

65 Barracuda taillight bezel to body PLASTIC gasket.

Does anyone know if repro body gaskets/seals are available, specifically the black plastic piece that goes between the taillight bezel and the body on a 65 Barracuda. My fish is currently in the paintshop and I have everything to put it back together except these bits. The ones that were on it...

    Plymouth UTE 1964-65

I just remembered I took this pic at Chryslers on the Murray this year. This was a 4 door sedan before someone got really clever. Talk about one of none:toothy5:

    Plymouth UTE 1964-65

Greetings from Australia. I was searching for something else and came across this thread by accident but I can offer some insights. The Ute is based on a 4 door platform and most definitely does not use the longer doors from either a 2 door sedan or hardtop coupe. If you want to...

Thanks for the pic. I was searching the internet catalogs for gas struts last night and found a supplier that sells exactly those brackets and a range of struts. Heading over there on Monday to get them. Your Barracuda looks awesome! Thanks everyone for your help on this.

    1965 Barracuda Trunk support questions

Ah, thats what I was looking for. Thanks! My original thought was the sliding ratchet style of prop, but maybe it's worth hitting the wreckers to look at some other options.

    1965 Barracuda Trunk support questions

Hello, Steve here from Australia. I imported a 65 Barracuda from LA last year and am having much fun with it. 1964-65 Barracudas are seldom seen down here which is both good (rarity factor) and bad (no parts) I'm trying to sort out a couple of issues with the trunk lid. The hinges have play...

WTB 65-69 Barracuda West Coast (LA)

Hi. I've just had a deal on a car fall through after months of searching over the internet. I'd even sent the payment to my shipping agent to pick up the car and prep it for shipping. But thats the way the cookie crumbles eh! Except seeing as I'm half a world away in Australia, it makes...
