    Slant 6 Clutch Z-Bar Length

I underestimated the brilliance of Chrysler engineers. I assumed that the pivots were meant to install all the way into the z-bar tube. Not the case. The fender end bushing is meant to recess only 1/4" into the tube retained by the clip as mentioned earlier. Likewise on the bellhousing side. The...

    Front Seat Issues

Recently installed a pair of Procar Sportsman seats. The assembly instructions were a joke and the brackets were mislabeled, but all in all not a bad install. While the seatbacks look a little tall for the interior, the matching blue inserts help with the look. I'm satisfied with them.

    Radiator Fan Spacing

That's what I get for assuming. So you're saying I would need the /6 shroud?

    Radiator Fan Spacing

The fan is the same 17" as the original. Didn't have any overheating issues, but the radiator was cheaper to upgrade than to repair and the old stamped steel fan scared me. As far as the location of the fan, I assume the centerline would be the same on all cars (Aligned with the crank pulley and...

    Radiator Fan Spacing

I assumed as much. Just making sure. I'll just get some studs and nuts for the water pump pulley to make install/removal easier. Recently upgraded my radiator from standard to HD cooling with the shroud mounts on the edge of the radiator frame. Would any shroud for the same radiator fit (like...

    Radiator Fan Spacing

Pulled out my old 4 blade OE fixed fan and replacing it with a flex fan. The old fan had an approx. 2" spacer on it with really long bolts and the fan itself was only about 2" away from the radiator. (had to remove radiator to remove bolts). I don't think the spacer is original and he shroud is...

    Fuel Pump Vent?

Thank you for the explanation. Explains why I burned half a tank of gas on a 20 mile cruise. Looks like the hunt is on for an air cleaner housing.

    Fuel Pump Vent?

I'm unfamiliar with this third port on my mechanical fuel pump. I'm assuming is a vent from the pump to the crankcase filter. My question is, is this hose necessary? The original aircleaner assembly is long gone so I was planning in using an aftermarket crankcase filter, but I'm not sure if I...

A body parts in/near Mohave County, AZ?

The most critical part I need right now is a z-bar (a.k.a torque shaft) for a /6 with manual trans. I assume mine is from a small block car because it's about an inch too short. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=111969

    /6 Oil Pan

Thanks. I would want a 6 into 1, one-piece header. Can't seem to find one. And it seems that the Aussiespeed intakes recommend a separate heater for their manifolds. I seem to remember someone making an intake that used the engine antifreeze without modification.

A body parts in/near Mohave County, AZ?

Looking for many parts. Small things like a dome light and glove box light, to large things like disc brake control arms and larger rear-end. Would travel to Phoenix or Las Vegas for the right deals.

    /6 Oil Pan

So where is the place to buy parts for a street /6; like a mild cam, aluminum intake and header?

    /6 Oil Pan

Out of a 198? If I could find parts that were as easily available and priced comparable to a V8 I'd consider it. Only place I know of for parts is Clifford Performance.

    /6 Oil Pan

Pulling the motor seems to be the only option to keep it from leaking. But when I do that, it will be to put in a small block :-D I'll just live with it until then being that it's not a daily driver. Thanks for the advice

    /6 Oil Pan

How hard is it to remove the oil pan in my slant 6 to replace the gaskets? I know I have to move the steering links out of the way, but do I have to unbolt the motor mounts? It seems as though I should have clearance with the motor in place. Thanks for any input

    Front Seat Issues

Yeah, as it sits now the steering wheel is practically in my lap. I've been eyeballing the Pro-90 seats from Scat/Procar, but they look a little thick on the seat bottom. That put together with their mounting bracket and I may be in the same situation. Looks like you got plenty of room with your...

    Front Seat Issues

The thing is, the position of the seat is just right. My reach for the steering wheel and pedals is right where I want it. I just need the seat dropped about 5 inches

For the legroom I need to work the clutch, my seat is all the way back and pretty much sitting on top of the trans tunnel.

What is the installed height of the OE and aftermarket bucket seats? I know the front edge of my bench seat is about 11" off the floorboard.

How much would you want for the long /6 z-bar including shipping? Please send me a pm.

    Slant 6 Clutch Z-Bar Length

Year One lists replacement z-bars. Their listing shows the same part for /6 and small block cars. So I'm not sure if mine is wrong or if I just need to replace the bushings and clips. What is the length of your z-bar?

    Slant 6 Clutch Z-Bar Length

When looking at my z-bar (torque shaft) it seems to be too short. It measures approx. 8 1/2" and there is a gap of about 1 1/2" on the bellhousing side. I can grab the shaft and move it side to side, so I'm assuming it's the wrong one for my car. Perhaps it's of a v8 car, I don't know. What is...

    Gauge Cluster Resto/Mod

I'm looking into having my original cluster rebuilt. I also want my oil pressure light replaced by a gauge. I've heard of AutoIntruments.com, DandMRestoration.com and RedlineGaugeWorks.com. Are there any other companies I can check out that do resto or custom work?

    Replacement Springs and Bars

I bought the Hotchkis kit ($350 from Jegs). As advertised it comes complete with all the hardware you need. Discovered that their 1" drop comes from the front bracket, not the spring. And the spring itself has stock dimensions, so I intend to use my original front bracket. Tech note: The stock...

I was afraid of that. Dang. Btw, saw your previous post with your new aftermarket buckets. They look sweet.

    Front Seat Issues

Nope. No spacers. When I bought the car, the seat had no tracks. It was just bolted to the floor. Even then I sat high in it.
