    Dirt bike question for ya

Those bikes have a habit of the coolant corroding right through the pump side wall, seal could be finebut you may need a replacement case. This problem has been the undoing of many water cooled MX Honda's. Keep your fingers crossed, if you are lucky it is only a seal. Let us know what you find...

    Intake cooling mod. Opinions wanted

Here is my setup, no real change compared to what it cost to do this. New 26in. Northern alloy radiator made all the difference, along with a custom alloy Mafaffey fan shroud, MP viscous fan, Milodon pump, water wetter, new hoses. Now it runs cool and my checking account is empty! Looking back...

    Magnum mount issue?

Hi Cory, how was it determined that your motor was externaly balanced?? Just by changing around dampers? I bought a 70 Duster with a built 340 and many unknowns internaly. I thought all 340 motors were neutral/ internaly balanced with forged cranks. My motor is a 340 with the internal style...

    Two Questions!

Check the VIN stamping in the rear package shelf, by the drivers side speaker. I think this was done only on the 70 model year Duster, this may help you confirm just what you have. If you have the stamping there then your body shell is a 1970. Good luck

    Driveline Vibration

I am thinking it is not just one thing that is causing the problem but a combination all working togeather to give me the shakes. Since I do not have the tail shaft damper installed, I am going that route along with the gear clamp balance method. I have already located the proper damper for a...

Thanks for the warm welcome......The vibration comes on strong between 35 and 40mph, will not go away until I slow down below 30. Vibration is driveline and or transmission. U joints are fine, weights are in place, pinion nut is tight, stock driveshaft has about 1.25 inch of clearance before...

    Trans cooler question

Thanks for the reply, I have a high stall converter and the car will be street driven. I was told that this converter driven on the street will generate a lot of heat and could cause the motor to run hotter than it normally would. It was suggested to me to isolate the trans cooler away from the...
