I guess I better just bite the bullet and send the wheel off to have the switch replaced. I cant tell how it is held on the wheel. Sounds like I need to leave this to the professionals.

Has anyone replaced the rim blow horn switch? My wheel is in very good shape, but the dang rubber on the switch is cracking and falling off. I hate to spend 650 for a total restoration when all I need is a switch. Thank you for any advice

Was there only one 2bbl intake available for the 71 318? If the intake works for my application, I will take it. If the carb is what I need then that is a bonus. The idiot that I had rebuilt my carb put the check balls in the wrong places so he drilled two holes in the bottom of the accelerator...

I dont know what the part/casting number is. I can call the machine shop in the morning to find out. I want to keep it as close to original as possible. Was there multiple 2bbl intakes available? A pic would help me identify the intake I am looking for. Thanks!

Looking for a good OEM 2bbl cast iron intake for a 71 318 in a Dart Swinger. Mine cracked around the thermostat area according to the machine shop. I am also looking for a Rochester carb 7041180 mainly for the body-float bowl. Thanks FABO!

I took that intake in to the machine shop and its cracked around the thermostat area so its junk. Looks like I am on the hunt for another one. Sucks

I am replaceing my water pump that has a 6 blade impeller. All i can find are 8 blade impeller water pumps. the 6 blade is special order. Looks like the housings are the same from the 6 to the 8. What will it hurt to run the 8 blade? Thanks

ok i now have the timing set 16 degrees BTC. It runs alot better at highway speeds but hesitates off idle. it doesnt get hot and starts fine. will it hurt to run it like this?
