    thumping noise

Hi all, When I drive my 67 Dart, when I apply the brakes there is a thumping noise (I can feel it on the pedal as well) with each rotation when coming to a stop. I just replaced my pads last year. I know I need to replace my drums sooner than later. But what could that noise be? Could it...

    Ticked off!

Thanks RedFish. One other question I wanted to pose. It looks like they added a manual choke cable to the Eddy carb. I know enough to know to pull it open when the engine is cold. Maybe a dumb question...but when the engine warms and and push the button back in to close...how does that work...

    Ticked off!

OK...took my 67 Dart GT into the shop to have some work done (one of which was getting the entire gas tank / send unit replaced). There was a lot of work and they had the car for nearly 3 weeks. I had specific instructions that it was to be completed by TODAY because I had family coming in and...

    Temporary exhaust leak fix?

There is something out there called a Muffler bandage??? Victor or Bell brands should be able to take care of your problem. You can find it at any auto parts stores. They are fiberglass / epoxy strips, you can weave around leaks. Kit should be right around $5.00. Hope that helps somewhat- you...

    Old paint....redo or leave it?

I vote if it is in great shape, leave it. Otherwise, if rust and bad paint areas are discoloring (like mine was) PAINT IT! Biggest thing is keeping it rust free!

    904 or 727

Sweet ride! Either will hold up to the strain if you are thinking of upgrading engines in the future. 727 weighs more than the 904 (if weight is a concern). Also, the bell housing may be a tight fit with the 727 (not to mention you would need to cut down the driveshaft. I had a 318 in my...

Differing size pipes make much difference?

Thanks for the advice all! Going with 2.5 to the mufflers and then down to 2.25 for the tips. Will let you know how the install went next week!

    Header advice

save the $75...had those same headers on my 67 Dart GT...they were flattened in no time and were a complete PAIN to install. Save up for some Dougs...I put them in with no problem at all. Honestly- look at SummitRacing.com and find a price on another website that beats theirs. They matched it...
