    Switch issue???

    74 Doddge dart Swingwer 318.MOST of the time will only start after releasing the switch. Cranks over and over but will not start but timed right, release the switch VAROOM! Any help? thxs:!:

    If that'll work that'll be great. I wasn't sure since the timing indicator lines up on the passenger side of the timing cover on the RV motor. If it is as simple as the I'll be in business. thxs

    Looking to get a 318 out of a RV (71 winnabago). Looking at the timing chain cover I notice the timing marks are on the passenger side. Anything special to do when swapping out the covers to set timing marks since the ones one my current 318 are on the drivers side?

    thxs guys. Back to square one. I did my cam break in on my test stand and now have a rattlin noise and I not sure what it is. i reviewed the archive post. tried some of those things(splash guards. checked the rod bolts, crank bolts) nuthin.

    Thxs to all for the replys. I've test/tuned the 340 on my test stand but was stumbled when I started to pull the ol'teener and noticed the that there is no provision for the brake booster on the T-ram. Thats the gist of my problem and inquiry. What to do now to make this work. Thxs again

    I know there are a ton of opinions out there about T-rams however I'm only asking about running one on a 340 in a 74 Swinger that has the power brakes/Booster. Possible? Unrealistic? thxs

    Thxs to all, even "lil Jonnie", I went the timing route, same results. Will try the compresson test tomorrow. Ultimately I feel this ol teener will move over for a fresh, warm, 340. thxs again

    The ol'Dart died at a stoplight. Towed it home, reduced the problem to the timing chain (Cam gear was history!). replaced the set and the plugs, everything went together nicely, fired right up. Now has a MAJOR miss. Got fire to all the plugs. Removed the wires one by one while the engine running...
