This guy advertised the car for sale, and I quote "1965 Plymouth Barracuda fast back, 318 four speed, all factory, nice car..." I guess it would be pretty rare if actually existed. If appears he was given some bad information.

66dartman...I would tend to agree that it is a 273, but this guy swears it was specially ordered. Do you think the 318 is even a possibility? I know that cars in those days could be ordered any number of ways, but this one is a mystery to me.

I have spoken to a guy who tells me he has a 1965 Barracuda with an original 318 engine in it. He says it was his father's car and was ordered from the factory that way, with a 4-speed on the floor no less. Does anyone know if this was in fact a possiblity to order the 65 Barracuda with this...

Thanks for the info. I will take a look at those sources. It is hard to say what the original scheme around the gauges was. It appears to be worn off with chrome plating underneath, but that doesn't seem to make much sense. I certainly don't want to spend the $$$ to have it chrome plated. I...
