    The 8.25 has more bolts on back cover than the 7.25. you should also be able to see the sheer mass difference between the two housings.

    I put an 8.25 with a 3.21 suregrip from a diplomat police car in my 72 Duster. Moved perches in to match leafsprings and man, sweet, put new brake parts on and new lub. Cost me $150.00 plus time to do the welding, brake job, lub and install. WELL WORTH IT! GOOD LUCK! Yesteryearmotorcars

    So I guess your AdamR? Well I think I am figuring out how to use this site. The research that I have done on this subject has given me 2 possibilities. 1. Depends on the year of the bellhousing. 2. depends on the flywheel or clutch, can't remember which.
