Ok. My tube bending stacks up to the best of them. But I need to know where is the best place to mount the pump below the gas tank. I have a Holley red and in it's directions they want it mounted below the lowest part of the tank. Or would another pump work better.

What do you mean by "piston slap"? I've heard the term but never knew what it ment. The noise is much less when the engine is at temp.

Well, it's the stock rocker arm assy. I may need to do more research on lifter preload. I just can't fully explain the noise going away after the engine come to temp.

I used permatec utra copper, a high temp silicone. Put it on the threads like pipe dope. It worked for me.

Look at the bolt spacers on the rocker arm shaft. There are two width of spacers. The narrow spacers should be on the two outside and center bolts. The wide ones on two on either side of center. If the wide ones are out of place it will push the rocker arms over and out of position. Look to see...

I had a problem like that years ago. Are your crank and cam gears new? Are they solid? The old style cam gear has a nylon gear ring and if broken will slip on the inner ring and take your cam - crank timing out. Just a thought.

I put buckets from a 74 Cuda into my 66 Barracuda. I attached the tracks from the 66 seats to the 74 bucket and redrilled holes in the floor. Use heavy fender washer on underside for a good hold.
