    Thanks, I did take off the alternator and had it tested. Voltage is good. I do think that I need to put a stock one back one. It also melted where the fuseable link is by the middle bulkhead in the engine compartment. Thanks for the great answers.

    Good morning everybody. I'm having a brain fart on timing. If I stand in front looking at the engine in my 71 duster with a 360, Where is the number one cylinder? The right front bank or left one? Help a old guy out. :notworth:

    Good compression check on each cylinder. Two 440's that I built did the same thing. One would blow out the oil dipstick and the other actullay bent the intake valley pan up? :wack:

    Alternator won't fit with E-heads

    They cost some money, but I have a 360 in a 71 Duster with eddy heads. I run the march pulley system with one belt and no problems with the : alternator bolting right up. :book:
