Cam for a 360 build with the parts i have

Its an assumption. When I remove the J heads that are on it now I will measure how far down they are. If they are to low I will have to go a bit deeper than planned.

Cam for a 360 build with the parts i have

I was planning on getting the cam sorted and then match the convertor to suite. Custom convertor was my plan. Currently the cam is hyd with standard rockers. Are you asking about tyre purpose or size? The purpose is a street tyre. Don't know the dia.

Cam for a 360 build with the parts i have

Static will be around 10-1 to 10.5-1. Street and weekend strip. With that gearing more RPM is what I'm chasing.

Cam for a 360 build with the parts i have

Hi all, I know there is a ton of 360 build threads, I've been looking through them. But I cant find exactly what I'm looking for. I have a 360, 904 74 Dart Sport. I'm am currently fitting 8 3/4 with 3.7 ratio. This will require a convertor change so while I'm at it I may as well liven up the...

Valiant grill on a Dart sport

Heres another thought, what about an earlier Dart front clip from a 68/69 on a Dart Sport? Anyone have a pictures of that combo?

Valiant grill on a Dart sport

Thanks so much for all the info and pic's. Mine does have a shock mounted bumper, so I will need to fab something up there. The car is a Californian car. These were never exported to Australia, some parts from the Aussie valiants fit most don't. The best option for me is to try and find a whole...

Thanks for the info. Your legend, I'll give that a crack.

    904 wont hold first gear

Thanks Fishy, I was hoping you'd jump in. The shift linkage could be the problem, I never thought to check that. As for the kick down linkage I just followed the instructions as per the owners manual, which said something like - to hold or wire the linkage forward and adjust so the throttle...

    904 wont hold first gear

I rebuilt my 904 for performance and fitted a Transgo TF-2 kit. The car has a mild 360 but still has the stock convertor and 7 1/4 with 2.74 rear end. The trans performs and shifts like stock. Soft shift to second, firm to third. I assume this is because of the stock convertor and rear end. I...

    Car audio guy here....

Here is the install I did with a retrosound head unit in my Dart. Some people don't like them but I have had no issues and would defiantly use again. I need to post the finished photos. I busy with the engine swap at the moment. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=244778

    Retrosound, Amps & Sub Install

Fixed it.. I stoked. Thanks for all the suggestions. After spending half the day chasing vibrations, rattles and stressing about how to fix the trunk rattle/noise I took a step back and did some Goggling. I went to Crutchfield's website and they had all the info I needed. All I needed to do...

Really.. I was looking at some today but wasn't sure what would fit. Do you have picture of the right profile that will fit?

    Retrosound, Amps & Sub Install

Thanks for the adhesive idea, I never thought of that. I went and spoke to my local panel guy to get his thoughts on that idea. He recons that welding, gluing and filler foam is a bad idea. These will cause the trunk is be ridged. He said the skin needs to move due to hot/cold etc. He sold me...

    Retrosound, Amps & Sub Install

HA, Ha, I knew someone would say something like that. The car is currently fitted with a stock 318, so symphony no, maybe old Elvis tune. Not so bad but you can't listen to over and over again. GPRS have the kick panels.

MT, I didn't think you were a D-bag, maybe I sounded like one. That's some great info you gave me. I still have a lot to learn about this stuff, so maybe I got lucky when installing this but I'm happy with the sound. Bass is defiantly there and responds when adjusting gain. Maybe volume is down...

Good point, I do kick the speaker grill when getting out of the car sometimes. I'll keep you posted.

    Retrosound, Amps & Sub Install

Subs are meant to mounted like this. They only boost the low end side of things. I can tell you first hand that the sound is awesome. I listen to rock & metal so I don't need the low end that the doof boys crave. The sound hits you in the back like a **** and I'm stoked with it.

    Retrosound, Amps & Sub Install

Thanks for the good words. It means a lot when people notice the little things. I was just saying to a mate of mine today that "that all the small things that you put most of the effort into most people will never notice". Paint, engine & wheels get noticed straight away, spend 3 hours getting...

    Retrosound, Amps & Sub Install

Here is the retrosound head unit and front speaker install. Don't mind the poor looking dash, I will ordering new decals to fix that up. Dear God is it loud, I listen in rock & metal so the doof boys will have little competition. At first I was going to mount the splits in the kick panels...

    Retrosound, Amps & Sub Install

Good question... I don't know, I have never had a car with amps so I need some advice on how to set them up. I'll Google on the set up but any advice is welcome.

    Retrosound, Amps & Sub Install

Here is the cover for the amps, I may remake this as its not perfect. I added some child seat anchor points as well. I just need to have it trimmed and it's all done for the rear. Next is the head unit install.

    Retrosound, Amps & Sub Install

The parcel shelf took a while to build. Because of the way the shelf sits under the rear window seal I built it out of 9mm MDF. I originally wanted to have a more factory looking shelf and mount the speakers underneath. But the limited MDF thickness coupled with the overall height of the...

    Retrosound, Amps & Sub Install

That's the place. It took a long time to get them eight weeks or so The guy builds them as needed and when I ordered mine he was in hospital. The fit is not perfect but pretty good. I'll show what I mean soon.

The seat belts are just off the shelf items from my local parts supplier. It you do this you need to get 180/180 belts to mount under the shelf.

    Retrosound, Amps & Sub Install

I don't have any pic's of the sub enclosure construction, just got to busy doing the job. I built it out of 5/8" MDF. The thing is heavy, if I had to guess with the speaker and amps I would say 40 to 50 pounds. The total volume is just above 1.75 cubic feet. The idea was to have it fit as...
