    Stock pinion angle?

You need to have the motor and trans installed. Without that you have no "true" value to set pinion angle. A quick search through the forums will result some good info on this. I personally do not like to "set" my pinion angle without installing the rear, in other words, I install the rear...

    dakota drive shaft

For what its worth to you, I cut down a drive shaft out of '87 D250 for my '70. It measured 4" as well, I have no clearance issues, I'm running a 8.8 rear too. The rear has been cut down on drivers side in which moves the pinion towards the drivers side. Hope this helps.

    8.8 swap

For you guys who have moved your rear back, how close is it to the gas tank? I'm in the process of finishing up my swap, and with it mounted in the center of the perch, I have 1-1/2" from the diff cover to the gas tank. If I were to move it back 1-3/8" it isn't going to leave me much room. Too I...

    Rear End Swap

Like AJ said, measure, measure , measure and then measure some more.. don't assume what worked for one with tight clearance will work for you.. ( lesson learned via school of hard knocks). Imo, best guarantee is to find the wheel and tire combo that suits your need/want and build rear to suit...

Master Cyl / Wheel Cyl combo to maximize manual drum power

The factory service manuals will go along ways in proper setup of drum brakes, don't ignore there specs on things. Master Cyl / Wheel Cyl combo to maximize manual drum power

The biggest key to drum brakes starts with having the correct components, ie master cylinder, wheel cylinders, correct proportion valve. Once them demands are meant it is an absolute to have good drums,ie ones that are within spec, brake shoes that are installed correctly,( ie primary and...

    Magnum headers on an la?

I don't have any "hands on experience" with using them headers, but through some research I have found others whom tried it and was a no go! Degree a camshaft.

I'm not a big "poster" on here, or any other forum, to many voices and "opinions" can make for a foggy answer to a question! With that said, just like Rusty, I will not even consider installing a camshaft without putting a degree wheel on it! Once you install one that is few degrees off and...

    Where is the nut?

Clean it off with a wire brush well, insert the correct allen wrench in the center bolt and hold it from turning while you back the jam nut off. I personally make a eighth to a quarter turn, then road test, as stated by others usually about a half turn will get ya there. BUT make sure the slop...
