    Instrument panel rebuild company

Can anyone recommend one of the instrument panel rebuild companies? There are a few on the web but I'd like to know if someone has good or bad experiences with them. My fuel and temp haven't worked for years and the speedo is getting tired. Time for a rebuild. Thanks

    speedometer gear swap

I just swapped out my 7 1/4 rear for a 8 3/4. The gearing is 323 suregrip. I'm running 205/70/14 tires with the stock 904 transmission. My speedo is way off showing much faster than my actual speed. Can anyone tell me which speedo gear I should use to get the correct speed and where I can get...

Electrical issue fuel and temp gauge

I would agree but the odds would be against it. The parts store one was tried and then returned for another one. I bought another from Classic Industries too and no luck. So all in all that would be three IVR's.

Electrical issue fuel and temp gauge

I did check the voltage a while back and it was good. I cant recall the exact numbers now. I tried a ground wire from a screw that holds the cluster to the bezel. That didn't change anything. I was pretty excited when the gauges stayed where they were supposed to be for 3-4 minutes!! The ammeter...

Electrical issue fuel and temp gauge

I have changed the printed circuit boards and voltage limiter with parts from Classic Industries. Checked and cleaned the gas tank sending unit strap. Changed the engine to firewall ground. Checked all the bulkhead connections. When I finished the circuit boards I did notice the spring...

Electrical issue fuel and temp gauge

I changed the IVR with the parts store replacement. No change in how the gauges are functioning. The new IVR came with a stud to ground the unit. I tried grounding that too. Checked the nuts on the back of the gauges by loosening them and tightening them back up a few times. Cleaned and...

Electrical issue fuel and temp gauge

Back to the same problem again. I changed the voltage reducer on the back of the cluster. The problem seemed to go away for a while. Later in the fall it reappeared again sporadically. Since then I have changed the alternator and the voltage regulator. I still have the same problem of te...

Round back to square back alternator replacement

I just bought a squareback alternator for my 1969 Dart 273. The new one has two field posts, a battery stud and a ground. The old one had one post and the battery stud. Do i need to wire anything differently to use the squareback alternator?

    PST Suspension Kits

I was sent the bullet shaped bushings and should have been sent the two piece ones. Its very easy to spin the meaning of his response to put it in a favorable light for PST. You cannot change the tone of the response. Im glad I didnt take the 10% off discount. I wouldnt want to feel like i...

    PST Suspension Kits

I had the opportunity to borrow a friends lift to install my PST Polygraphite kit. Although the instructions were written in spanish it was still able to be completed. However, they didnt bother to send the correct strut rod bushings in the kit and I had to run to the parts store to get Moog...

    Dart Custom question

The 69 came with a V8 no A/C. The car had 13 inch tires and wheels which i replaced with 14inch and dog dish hubcaps. I have the build sheet and the fender tag. I havent had the opportunity to decode either of them. No clue what rear end it has. I would assume its probably not the Sure...

Electrical issue fuel and temp gauge

My 1969 Dart Custom is experiencing an electrical gremlin. It doesnt happen all the time but here is what its doing. First: 100% bone stock 318 2bbl 904 auto. Every so often the fuel gauge will peg out way past the full line. The temp gauge also follows along showing a reading that is...
