    Sway bar install

I don't know if this will help, but when I upgraded to late model "Cordoba" disc brakes on my 65 Cuda I had to shorten the sway bar end links because they interfered with the calipers: This provided the clearance for me anyway... Good Luck!

    Another 66 mopar

You're a little too young to be driving aren't you? Anyway, I also noticed the passenger side mirror. Did it come stock like this or did you add it? The reason I ask is because I did the same to my '65 but wondered if it was ever offered as an option... Nice ride btw! `

    torque specs for wheels

I realize this is an old thread, but I thought this might still help someone: This is from a "1973 Plymouth/Chrysler/Imperial Chassis Service manual". Although the manual doesn't specifically say it here, I take it to mean that drum brakes with 1/2" studs are torqued to 65 ft/lbs as well. `

    1965 Valiant + Gen 3- 6.4 Hemi

I love the idea of having a Hemi in an early A-Body but, if this is your first time installing one, you'll soon find out out that everything is tight in these cars. Definitely plan on a custom exhaust and be prepared to do some creative modifications to make them work. The Hemi also seems to be...

Early A front suspension with rack & pinion steering

I'm not trying to be a "Debbie Downer" but, unless you have a lot of time, an extraordinary level of mechanical skill and/or very deep pockets, I would abandon the idea of putting rack & pinion on your early A-body. That said, I am not aware of any company currently making such a setup that...

    Bad Fuel "Gauge"? (1965 Barracuda)

Looks like a great product. I'm not sure if I like the fact that Fords and Mopars need a separate unit with a built-in regulator, since it requires further monkeying around (more to go wrong and with limited space under the dash). I did find the article they linked to interesting (see PDF at...

    Bad Fuel "Gauge"? (1965 Barracuda)

I'm not sure if we're talking about the same thing. My Voltage Limiter is mounted on the printed circuit board of the instrument cluster. It's not directly connected to the fuel gauge in any way. I didn't do an accurate reading of the resistance, I was just pointing out that the Sending Unit...

    Bad Fuel "Gauge"? (1965 Barracuda)

I've been trying to troubleshoot an ongoing problem with my fuel gauge system. I think I have narrowed it down to the fuel gauge itself, but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this particular problem... Before I describe the situation I just wanted to say that I have already (more...

    New AFB Day!

Yes, it is in fact a 9636: I guess I'd be willing to entertain any reasonable offer...

    New AFB Day!

Just an FYI: I have since discovered that I need to get a "Throttle Lever Adapter" in order for the 1406 to work with my 360's linkage (I actually anticipated such a problem)... The Edelbrock 1481 adapter works with Mopar and Ford applications, which seems to imply the 1406 carb is designed...

    New AFB Day!

Thanks, it was the first thing I did! Edit: Sorry if you saw the ":finga:" I posted earlier - I thought the little guy was giving you a "thumbs up" not "the finger"! Honest! `

    New AFB Day!

My Barracuda sat for awhile and the entire fuel system was shot, so I replaced everything; fuel tank, sending unit, hard and rubber lines, filter and fuel pump. I tried rebuilding the AFB (it's on its 3rd rebuild I think) but something isn't quite right. I'm sure it's just some gunk blocking a...

    New AFB Day!

Ok, so it's an Edelbrock 1406... I got it from Summit Racing. It did come with a free Air Cleaner and fender protector! (although the fender protector is fairly crappy); I know some people scoff at the AFB design, but for the average street performance enthusiast I think it's more than...

64 Dart , any 8 3/4 rear differentials drop in no mods?

I was able to fit 215/60R15 tires in my 65 cuda using stock Mopar rally wheels. I may have had to bend the wheel well lip slightly for clearance, otherwise no other mods... Good luck! '

    show me your early A!

    66 Barracuda Heads

If you decide to go with non-273 heads, just remember that 340/360 heads require the tops of the cylinder (on the block) to be notched for clearance due to the wider valves. This is from and old "Direct Connection" Mopar Engine Speed Secrets manual: It seems that 318 heads are your best...

    Cherokee Exhaust Manifolds???

Sorry if this has already been covered, but I did a search in this forum for both Magnum and Cherokee exhaust manifolds and found dozens of posts for Magnums, but only one vague post for Cherokees. Anyway, after doing a Google search I saw someone post about putting 5.2L Jeep Cherokee exhaust...
