273 intake manifold, and valve cover questions

Question: Engine ventilation moves in one direction correct? In through the driver-side valve cover through the crankcase and out the passenger-side pcv to the intake? What happens if you have the pcv on the opposite side?

Dash Cluster Question - 68 Barracuda

Couple of questions: With the LEDs and the Rallye dash, did you remove the original mounted blue bulb filters? As far as color, green seems to be the consensus, I was thinking blue. Does anyone have a preference?

    Ammeter to Voltmeter...who does it?

OK dumb question, but connect VM (+) to battery (+) and VM (-) to battery (-) ? When I did that the needle pegged over rapidly to the point I thought I might burn something up.

Thanks to this thread, I have completed my conversion, but I want to bench test the voltmeter gauge before I reinstall the dash. Can anyone give me ideas for easy ways to do this?

Yes, another question about MAD bypass ... how to connect

Thanks crackedback! That's what I was thinking. I hate to drill out intact connections if they can be fixed and used.

Yes, another question about MAD bypass ... how to connect

I had a similar question. Assume alternator post-to-relay black wire is in place and ammeter is shunted and wires correctly spliced under the dash. At this point it seems to me that powering up the dash and interior doesn't require the draw needed to drill holes and run dedicated wiring (or...

    Ampmeter-Voltmeter conversion

Does anyone have a thread for a how-to on converting the 67 Rallye dash ampmeter to a voltmeter? I saw on some threads of folks able to use the guts of a aftermarket voltmeter and mount them to the original gauge.

Yes brake lights, not back up lamp. :violent1: Thanks for the inputs. My engine is in pieces and I am cleaning up my wiring harness. I will make sure I put it together correctly!

    Correct Proportioning Valve?

Yeah the brake fluid looked like an Irish Red on tap. New p-valve... No sense skimping on brakes. I saw some adjustable valves on jegs with two wires for a back up lamp. Any ideas on how to wire that with the single wire lead I have? Thanks everyone for the replies!

    Correct Proportioning Valve?

"LPB disc brakes"? It seems like my block will work on my disc/drum setup, is that what you are saying? Definitely do want to drop the money unless I need to.

    Correct Proportioning Valve?

The attached photo is similar the valve that came off my car, is it the correct one I need for my application? I have front disc (73+) and rear drum. In doing some research, this valve has an ID # PVM70. All replacement versions look blocky and nothing like it and I am having a hard time...

    Windage tray installation question

Hey all, I am installing a Mopar Performance windage tray in my 318. I know I have to replace the 2 and 4 main bolts. My question is, do I need to loosen the whole crank and then replace and tighten all of the bolts in sequence or can I just replace the main bolts that need to be replaced...

Hey all, I've been shopping around for OD or 5 speed options for my 67 cuda, 318 with limited mods. I found this link and was wondering if anyone had some opinions. The site says they will have Mopar options by Spring '16. Looks promising...

    Poll: Power or Manual steering?

My leaky old PS box has to go in my 67 small block cuda. Go manual, say goodbye to leaks, get a little HP, headers and a better arm workout or... Upgrade the PS box for a tighter model (Firm Feel), along with all of the other odds and ends, and maybe contend with leaks for a more pleasant...

    Removing Steering Shaft Bearing

Thanks for the ideas. So I have this straight...the column needs to come out the bottom, but with the column out do I still need to press out the pin in order to replace that bearing? I've never seen a column out so I don't have a reference. I really only wish to replace the lower bearing...
