Thanks, I'll have it looked at.

    Suregrip issue or feature?

It doesn't work the other direction either. I just noticed something, though. It starts to go sideways for a little while then a clunk and then it stops going sideways.

    Suregrip issue or feature?

That's a good thought. I normally go counter-clockwise for center-of-gravity reasons, but I'll try going clockwise.

I understand how your strategy works when you troll. Poke at people trying to elicit a response then throw more insults so I'm not taking it very personal, because you don't really know me. However, you should think about what the fallout might be. My wife just read that comment and is beside...

Not you, Brian. SGBarracuda is trolling me. Ignoring my question and throwing insults. And now fisherman67 is trolling cause he feels like he owes backup to his buddy.

    Suregrip issue or feature?

It's definitely a suregrip rear end. It must be broken.

Wow. Best insult ever. Why you trolling, Gramps? Don't most of you trolls hang out over at Reddit.

    Suregrip issue or feature?

Ahh, the video didn't show up before. That's exactly what I'm talking about. Mine won't do that. I guess the suregrip is broken. I have many other cars that do so it's not lack of skill. It's a manual so it's a pain to power brake. The pedals aren't lined up very well to heel-toe it. I rev it...

    Suregrip issue or feature?

Jeesh. I almost didn't ask, because I knew some kill joy would pipe his two cents in. Thanks for the lecture Gramps. Yes, I like wearing out tires in circles. For what? That's like asking why water is wet. Some things just are. I like it 'cause I like it. 'Cause it's fun. 'Cause I can afford all...

So you're saying I should be able to do a donut?

    Suregrip issue or feature?

The problem is I don't drag race, but I do tons of donuts. I have a parking lot with a blocked off section for my shenanigans.

I am full throttle, but no donut.

    Suregrip issue or feature?

I have a 1972 dart with the big block treatment and a 5 speed Tremec. I put an 8 3/4 a body rear end in it with suregrip. I also had it rebuilt. It's very fun, but I think it's not working right or maybe it is and I dont understand how it should work. I can't do donuts. My Mustang and Chevelle...

[WANTED] Bucket seats and tracks for 1972 Dart

That's good to know. I just found a set of used buckets and I can get these if the tracks are no good. The seats cost me dearly, though ($600 with freight). They'll still need to be rebuilt.

I considered boost. The big block didn't cost me anything and is easier.

    440 going with efi?

They say 625 hp, iirc. I don't know how any of them work long term, which is why I went with the MSD Atomic. I trust MSD's brand and I'm hoping they designed it right.

    440 going with efi?

I went with msd on my Charger, because it only has one pigtail on the back. I want the car to look stock. I have an aftermarket fuel tank built for fuel injection that looks stock. The pump is in the tank like it should be. The regulator is back by the tank so only one line had to be ran along...

318 engine 118 horsepower on dyno

Your's is healthier than mine. I have dual exhaust with an H pipe and a 4 bbl, too. For the 383 I bought headers from Schumacher. I'm really impressed. They are very short and should work perfectly in the Dart.

If that's accurate, the old Dart wasn't too far off.

318 engine 118 horsepower on dyno

I'd love to help him out, but I already told someone they could have it. It's going in an old 50s Dodge truck. Someone put a 350 in it and it's time to right the wrong.

318 engine 118 horsepower on dyno

Asking price on the dyno is $20,000. It was $65,000 new. My distributor has points. I'm not sure when the changeover was. I just assumed it was after 72, because I can't imagine anyone would go backwards and convert from electronic to points. It has had the same ignition since the late...

318 engine 118 horsepower on dyno

I was thinking of building it for a while. I was even considering a Paxton supercharger. But, thus 383/727 was just sitting there staring at me so I'm going that way. I've actually always wanted to big block it.
  24. T

318 engine 118 horsepower on dyno

That would be fun if I had time. I know the distributer could use a recurve (and an electronic upgrade.) I never tuned the cab either. I will tune the 383 and post those numbers when I get them. The dyno I'm using is for sale and I'm thinking about buying it. I could tune all of my rides.

318 engine 118 horsepower on dyno

It's a 1972. I've had it since 1998 and it's always been this weak. It's probably only got 30k miles on the "rebuild" that was done before I got it. I think it was rated for 225hp net. 1972 was the first year that net measurements were used. It doesn't match even with the chassis losses, but...

318 engine 118 horsepower on dyno

I did a baseline pull on the chassis dyno and laughed my butt off. The motor has an edelbrock intake, 600 cfm carb, and dual exhaust. I thought it would be around 175 horsepower. It's a good thing it doesn't weigh much! It's getting a 383 with 3.55 gears next week and I can't wait to dyno...

[WANTED] 8.75 or 8.25 Axle for a Dart

I'm doing a big block swap from a 318 to a 383 next week in my 1972 Dart, but I have the crappy axle. I think it is a 7.25. I'd like an 8.75, but will settle for an 8.25. I plan to build the 383 later for more power. The junk yards don't have anything and CL is empty. I live in Coeur...
