Sorry to bring this up but @QuickDart360 your mailbox is full. Did you reuse your old spindle, and rubber bushing sleeves?

The picture is of one I just got. Just trying to illustrate I know the basic area to look at. On the other trans there's nothing stamped on that spot

    904 Transmission - No Numbers??

Anyone else get one with no numbers at all? I figured I'd have to tear it down. More curious why there's no numbers

    904 Transmission - No Numbers??

Hi all, I bought a 904 lock up transmission a few years ago and I can't seem to identify it or how to effectively identify it (i.e. what car it's from / year made etc.) . I looked in the typical spot on the driver side above the pan and the location where it should be is obvious but no numbers...

    318 - Thoughts on these Heads/Engine

I see. Well the casting shows 318-3 and is was out of a pickup and has that mysterious extra nipple on the intake ‍♂️. If the heads do take water, can those be tapped and plugged and a new intake put in?

    318 - Thoughts on these Heads/Engine

Oh geeze, I just realized the -3 is cut off lol. The plugs were fat but i believe they were 3/4 inch long on the threads. I thought the heads were the run of the mill heads , then I saw that intake and was like wow.

    318 - Thoughts on these Heads/Engine

Hi all, I picked up a 318-3 for free yesterday and was told it came out of a pickup. The first picture is of the casting and it's a 78 casted block. It has 4027593 heads but I noticed that the intake had an extra nipple to it for, I'm guessing, to heat up the carb. Would these be those odd...

Paint delamination touchup, what am I doing wrong?

Not necessarily. I use to work in paint. Primer can still be the good part and the OEM paint may be lacking the additives for adhesion. I've seen this happen on Toyota parts more often then you'd think

Paint delamination touchup, what am I doing wrong?

Maybe the stuff you are using isn't good (bad batch). There are binders in the paint that react with the underlying layer to adhere and maybe the paint you have is lacking them. Or there is some sort of contamination on the body before you paint

Paint delamination touchup, what am I doing wrong?

Is it lifting off the primer or is the silver separating from itself?

    Rear Vinyl Trim Removal

Hi, I'm looking for some info on the rear Vinyl Trim removal. I did a search but not a whole lot shows up. Maybe I didn't type the right keywords in?? I understand how the drip rail and front/rear glass works but I just can't wrap my head around the vinyl trim. I understand there are clips and...

    Pushrod Type

Ya they are solid. They were in a box of parts that came with the heads. Same type on both ends. Thanks for the info. I'll likely buy some ball and ball end ones for the non-adjustable rockers/ hydraulic lifters combo

    Pushrod Type

I have a 318 I picked up (disassembled) and it didn't have push Rods but i have J heads I just picked up and the seller gave me these rods for nothing. I attached a picture of one of them. The length is correct. Would these work or are the ball end style more appropriate? Thanks for the help :)
