Ya 500+ is out of my price range. Those ones have also been relisted for years without a bite. I offered that same guy 350 through ebay message... he said no... must not really want to sell them. The going price is 250ish. One actually turned up in the classifieds locally though, guy is asking...

[WANTED] Need Fender for 1964 Plymouth Fury + front end parts

I pretty much need a whole right side fender. Its messed up and the headlight bucket area has been pushed inward pretty bad. That fender also has evidece of previous repairs where they drilled holes to pull out the nose and then slathered filler on.

318 poly w/ carter AFB rough running especially idle and off-idle.

Bingo! I'll see how that works. (And then what should I do with the choke port?) And yes both mixture screws respond similarly and will kill the engine slowly when tightned down.

318 poly w/ carter AFB rough running especially idle and off-idle.

My main problem is stumble, hesitation... you may have hit the nail on the head. I have a hose running from my distributor vaccum advance to a fitting just under the choke. Are you saying this is hooked into the wrong spot? I just bought the car recently so I have no idea what the PO might have done

318 poly w/ carter AFB rough running especially idle and off-idle.

I did the choke test. Closing the choke fully will kill the engine. I closed it at least halfway and it did not make any noticiabale difference. More hesitation. The car still shakes at idle and the first 15% of acceleration is rough. Also i don't know if this is just how the car is supposed to...

318 poly w/ carter AFB rough running especially idle and off-idle.

OK I will do both the choke and compression tests when I get home. For now here's some pictures I took, maybe someone can see if something looks wrong. There is some sediment in the float bowls. I had more picture with the carburetor top but my phone didn't save them for some reason, I can take...

318 poly w/ carter AFB rough running especially idle and off-idle.

When I start to screw in the mixture screws the car begins to stumble and at a certain point the engine will die once they are turned past a certain point.

Does what I describe with the mixture screw seating raise concerns?

318 poly w/ carter AFB rough running especially idle and off-idle.

What is the easiest way to test the vacuum advance. I have a fuel pump/vacuum gauge tester and a snap on timing light. Also I'm concerned about the mixture screw seating condition I described, is that no big deal?

318 poly w/ carter AFB rough running especially idle and off-idle.

Hey my 318 poly is running rough especially idle and hesitant/rough when accelerating. It's not terrible but it just doesn't sound or feel right. I'm think the carb may need to rebuilt and already ordered a kit but I have a few questions. BTW, as of yesterday it has all new spark plugs, wires...

will Edelbrock LD4B intake bolt on to a stock 1964 318 poly

Thanks for all the info. I'm shooting for close to 350 HP if I can. That being said, I don't want to overhaul the whole engine yet though. The previous owner said he had the engine rebuilt 5 years ago, heads machined, bored 03 over, he said it has "a mild cam in there that I'm gonna love," idk...

will Edelbrock LD4B intake bolt on to a stock 1964 318 poly

Do you happen to know my carb options for the 'wind tunnel' intake. Will my Carter AFB be a direct fit to it. Is it a good carburator for my build? My oprions atm seem to be go with an original early iron poly intake + buy an adapter. Or wind tunnel or Weiand. iron intake + adapter (300-400...

[WANTED] 318 poly 4 barrel intake

will Edelbrock LD4B intake bolt on to a stock 1964 318 poly

Yes, I would prefer to spend much less than $650 but I do want to hot rod this thing ou and I have to get a new intake manifold anyway to match the Carter AFD. Right now the Carter 4 brrl carb is sitting on my stock 2 brrl intake. The thing is, every single dual plane 4 barrel manifold I find...

will Edelbrock LD4B intake bolt on to a stock 1964 318 poly

Thanks. I'm pretty decent at seeking stuff out but I just want to figure out what I'm looking for exactly so I can try to find it. someone selling something may tell me it will fit my car (they may actually think it will) but if I have no idea what I'm buying I could get stuck with a part that...

will Edelbrock LD4B intake bolt on to a stock 1964 318 poly

Anyone have experience with this? Four Barrel ‘Wind Tunnel’ Dual Plane Manifold Will it fit a 1964 318 poly. From what it says it will but I could be misreading it. Again, I'm new to mopars, but not old cars in general! Thanks for the help.

will Edelbrock LD4B intake bolt on to a stock 1964 318 poly

Do you know of any vintage 4bbl intake that will fit. I heard they made an D4B intake for 273 small blocks before the LD4B was designed.

will Edelbrock LD4B intake bolt on to a stock 1964 318 poly

my plan for this car is to slowly hot rod it out while keeping it true to era. I like vintage stuff rather than new. That why I was interested in the vintage edelbrock intake.

will Edelbrock LD4B intake bolt on to a stock 1964 318 poly

Hey, I actually was at the Pomona swap meet but I didn't buy this car till last week. So are you saying the edelbrock LD4B intake won't fit my 318 poly? I probably could find a stock 318 poly 4 bbl intake and will go that route if I have to but I'm interested in finding an aluminum intake. I'm...

will Edelbrock LD4B intake bolt on to a stock 1964 318 poly

Hey, I'm very new to mopars so forgive me. I just bought a 1964 plymouth fury wagon.. It has a Carter AFB carburetor on top of a stock 2 barrel intake (with what looks like some sort of 2/4 barrel adapter.) They guy I bought the car from says it's the original motor I haven't confirmed it 100%...
