I tho k I’m having the same issue. I hear a sucking sound and mine is doing the same think as his. How do you diagnose to see if I’m sucking air?

So I timed it, had it running great. Took it for a drive and was all good. Brought it back, and now I’m having trouble starting it while hot, and also once I get it running it just wants to shut off.

Well, I went and replaced the starter and plugs and it’s running great

My timing marks only goes to 10* on the block. What do I do?

Every time I turn it over the lights slightly dim.. the battery’s load test is good. All connections are good.

If it’s drawing too much power, that would allow it to turn over but to slowly? And when I turn it over more than 3 times the battery doesn’t have enough power to turn it over and just buzzes or makes a high pitch noise. I have to then recharge the battery then Try again. And nothing every time...

Yes it’s good. Checked it.

How do I test it?

Please help. Could it be the aftermarket ignition the previous guy installed?

when I turn it over to start, it cranks one or two times slowly then buzzes and stops. It’s a brand new battery.

I just bought it yesterday. The guy I got it from didn’t tell me what cam is in it. It’s a 4bbl. 3 speed auto. I haven’t tried anything yet because I don’t know where to start.

When in Drive and I floor it, it doesn’t seem to have much power at all. I’m new to these engines so I need help. Ok the timing needs adjusted. Could this be the reason for the poor acceleraton and loss of power?
