Hi Ralph, did you end up using the standard headers? I have. A new crate 6.4 with tti mounts and putting it in my 68dart so trying to work our if the standard ones or Jeep srt ones will fit? Cheers ...awesome work on your dart!!

Afternoon folks, My new 6.4 crate engine has just rocked up and I’m working out fitting it into my 68 dart GTS, I already have the tti biscuit mounts and that’s it for now, I’ve gotta order the new sump etc etc.. just wanting to know if I can use 6.4 Jeep manifolds or will they hit the firewall...

hi all, just before I do an order for a fuel sender and headlight bezels for my 68 dart gts, does anyone know of any company that sells the trim that runs along the top of the doors and quarter panels? Thanks for the help, Luke

....just had an engine builder/drag friend come by ..he suggested axels as well..so just gotta finish up pricing over here and the rest then I better order!

... so just had a look and talked to dr diff, the rotors that come with the pirate jack kit have the bigger axle centre (is it a flange(on the axle face?) .. so can I get a spacer made up to take up the distance between that inner flange and the rotor centre hole? (That’s if I don’t get new...

... currently engine is a 360 with a mopar purple cam and 3200 stall, but I’m inheriting my fathers twin turbo 360 engine made 540hp at the tyres(he’s going to an hellcat engine ) ... so then if I did get new axels who’s best or cheapest but good ? Dr diff seems cheaper than moser and haven’t...

.... so pretty much keep lugs tight, and then once redrilled, pretty much gonna be splines etc that will strip/brake -not the redrill part of it...thanks very much..makes me feel a bit better for buying the rear brake kit !

.. ah sorry yeah the kit I bought already converts the fronts to bbp, just after I suppose the answer to how much power/abuse drilling out the rears to bbp will they take before snapping?/breaking?

hi all. I’ve bought an pirate jack front and rear kit disc brake kit for my 68 gts, thinking that (or when my father ordered it for me - and talked to them) that it would upgrade the rear bolt pattern to the bbp. So looking at the instructions now, it’s looks to be that it can be both for bbp...

Thanks for the help...I’ll measure that tomorrow ...but yeah haven’t done the brake install yet so might have to just wait till I done that ...I’ll glance through the rear instructions to see how they go about the axel setup...

..the pirate jack rear kit I’m assuming has an adaptor flange or redrilling... haven’t installed it yet... as far as a spacer for the back spacing, I don’t think we can run spacers over here, I think they’re illegal to run..so if I got 18 x 8 with 5.25 back space(I do see a lot of posts about...

... I believe it is, haven’t installed it yet tho.. but they’re kit uses the smaller upper ball joint and has a sleeve/adapter to make it the bigger disc big bolt pattern and rear is upgraded to bbp as well, and whatever size disc not they run with not the 13” of dr diff...

hi all, luke here Australia/oz, I have a 68 dart gts(standard 8 3/4 diff with pirate jack front and rear disc brake conversion) and stock leafs and tubs etc... after what 18” rims I can get with size and back spacing and Tyre size as well...just to help with ordering /looking on summit racing...

... yeah especially if anyone who has gone both ways or changed back and why etc... see you even if you had an msd 6al (non programmable) (which I don’t ) so didn’t need to buy one then you would have to buy the boost timing master then to retard it for you on boost($200-300 on summit) then...

What about the fuel/ignition side ? Blow thru carb off the shelf(aed or CS etc ) if buying one so it’s actually set up and tuned as such and then msd 6al programmable or super sniper 1250.... ? Both work out around 4K aust

Umm yes and no.. the 5.7s about 4000 and 6.4 new crate around 8-9k and not sure in the 6.1 not many engines for sale
