    So here is what I ended up doing for my senders and works great. Still working on tidying up wiring and what not under the hood. I used the Autometer 2271 adapter for the water temp sender. Thanks for the help and input!

    Yes, but I’m adding an aftermarket one so I can see exactly what my temps are for summer time driving in traffic. ya I know, it’s been awhile lol. The car has been put away for 6+ months.

    Got all the plug wires made and ran, along with the heater hoses and brackets. Looks much cleaner and everything doesn’t just sit on the valve cover. Get all the winter time bugs worked out of it again and start daily driving it!

Just going to run accel 8mm wires, and more curious how you guys are routing your wires mainly on the driver side to clear the taller exhaust manifold...

    haha right!? my driveway plays tricks on the eye, it’s kinda “warped”. It doesn’t sit that funky on flat ground. But the tall skinny tire up front I think throws the look of the car off?

    Maybe it’s my 215/65’s up front? 15x6 front 15x8 rear. I’ve got 60 series in the rear and 65s up front. Too bad cooper didn’t make a 215/60.

    Thats why I replaced mine. A cam finger broke off and wouldnt stay on to one side if you didnt keep your hand on it.

    An update... What ultimately caused my issues was the new cams "wire prongs" on the back of the cam, did not line up properly with the brass contacts on the switch side. So I ordered an OER switch from summit at 7p sunday, was in my front porch 10a tuesday and installed same day. Havent taken...

    So thanks your help, I determined it was the little wire contacts behind the cam. If you hold it in the exactly right spot they will work. I’m hesitant on buying the OER switch from summit.     I’ve tested the brake switch, it works as it should. and I also tested the plug behind kick panel, no power to any circuit when brake pedal is applied.

    Ive searched and havent been able to find any info, wheres everyone installing mechanical temp gauge sending unit? 318 w/ edelbrock manifold. All the ports are too shallow. And also where are you putting the oil psi sender? Prefer copper or plastic line? Heres the sender on my autogauge temp gauge.
